My scooter was stolen but I got it back in pretty much 4he same shape as it was in. I have not removed my carb ,local shop looked it over and said the carb jets are dirty but the carb is sealed so I need a new carb for $75 + labor. I asked if he meant that the mixture screw had a plug .He said no, you cant remove the bottom of the carb to get to the float & jets. Can this be true ? Plus I know I can get a carb for a 150 for $50. What should I do ?

Thanks for the seller contact, very reasonable. I think I will try to rejet this carb to a 125 and use a full flowing air filter. If it is a piece of junk it is cheap enough to replace the carb.

If it is a piece of junk it is cheap enough to replace the carb. 125 main jet is to big for what you have. Your motor is stock the carbs current main jet is anywhere from 103-107 so if your putting on a free flow filter then only go 2 sizes greater on the main jet. So if the jet is a 107 get a 110 if 103 get a 105 etc.. A 125 you will flood the poor thing and you will be bogging at high rpms. People think that dumping in a gallon of fuel is going to get them more power and or speed BUT the motor can only take so much air and fuel and what happens the motor runs like POOP. Alleyoop

well just going down the list on the performance parts he sells. I bought the stage 1 HP coil & cdi along with a ngk plug .Working in order the next thing is a full flow air filter and then the jet. Isn't that how you build a high performance motor ? LOL! Sure you are right about the jet sizes . Thanks, you saved me $4.25. Only thought about a change cuz it chugs at 45-50 mph w/ wot so the jet must be clogged.
