Well after several weeks of perfect running the scoot suddenly without warning died. It just quit. I was out on a very beautiful day just cruising. I pulled in to a parking lot to take a break. I fired her up and she just purred. I made a left turn in the parking lot and it quit. It fired up right away very weakly and died. It has failed to start since then. I have checked for fuel delivery and it is getting fuel. Checked fuses. They are good. Done the old spark check and it appears it has no spark. I have a aelous 300 parts bike that was running when I parked it so I took the coil off it and tried it in my scoot. Still no spark. I have checked all the connection that I could find they appear good. Now it is possible for two coils to be bad but as I said the parts bike was running when I parked it. I was gonna rebuild it. I have 3 cdi units that are known to be good. I tried all of those and still nothing. It will turn over but will not fire up. I am about done with these bikes. Its a shame because they are a blast to ride. I am clueless. I need some ideas folks and I appreciate any help you folks may offer. I am at the point were I may sell both of these bikes if I cant figure this out. Thanks.
P.S. The valves were adjusted about 500 miles ago. New fuel pump was installed as well.

make sure you did not by accident hit the killswitch. Also check the ground wire from the motor to the frame. Since I think yours is a DC cdi check the wire from the battery to the CDI. Alleyoop

Will do. I will get back to you, I did check the kill switch. It was the first thing I did. Assuming that the Item you mentioned are good is it possible that something in the dash is grounding out?. I say that because the left turn signal switch sometimes does not make up. I will initiate the left turn switch and it wont come on for several minutes later. Some times it wont come on at all. So maybe there is a short some where. Thanks

It's very possible you have a bad ground connection. Check the negative battery cable where it bolts to the frame and make sure it's clean and tight.

Maybe your kill switch is going bad? Its possible. But i turn it off and the bike wont turn over. I turn it on and it will. So it appears it is working at least on the surface. How would I test it or bypass it to check it out?.

Most kill switches are set up so the engine WILL not turn over in the engine off position. The engine kill switch is a two function switch, when off, you break the circuit to the start button and at the same time ground out the CDI thus no start.
When in the run position, the start button circuit is complete and you break the ground circuit to the CDI so in this case it sounds like the kill switch is operating correctly.

After checking everything that could be checked including the 2 coils with a ohm meter, Checking all the grounds, fuses, 3 cdi units, I came up with a brainstorm. I figured the circuit was being broke somewhere and I had already checked item after item. I decided on a whim to remove the kickstand switch and replace it with the kickstand switch off my parts bike and what do you know it fired up on the first spin and purred like a sewing machine. Dang, Who would have thought the kickstand switch would go bad like that. I am going to buy another one just in case. I now have 3 good cdi units, 2 good coils, and going to a extra kickstand switch. I am going to do a full pdi while I have it apart just for the heck of it. Man Wish I would have changed it out first. Who knew. Thanks for all the help guys.

Good job and I forgot this scooter has the stand switch, some are set up to ground out the CDI, some are set up through the start system?
