roketa mc-54-250b charging need help!!! i bought a brand new stator and rectifier and battery....i still get no charge!!! i need a wiring diagram, this is a watercooled scoot and it has 2 connectors that the stator can be hooked to and i never seen that in my other scooter, the both have three yellow wires......i need help on this im lost, and it has a little retifer near the big 1, i have no idea what that is......any help woukd be great..

Did you check the fuse where the battery is, sometimes they go bad even when they look good, I'd replace it, did you look for a short in the wiring, that would drain the battery. look at your PDI, make sure all wires are connected. Rich (Hoped I have help)

Welcome to Scooter Professor, roketaman. That little rectifier near the big one is a blocking diode or relay. The charging current from the regulator/rectifier has to go through this to get to the battery. If this unit is open or if there is a bad connection in the 2 pin connector which goes to this blocking diode, then you will get no charging on the battery. An easy way to check for this is to pull apart this connector and jumper the 2 pins on the wiring harness side. If you get a charging voltage on the battery, then the diode is the culprit. If still no charge, then you will have to check wiring from the output of the R/R to the battery.

heres the deal i changed the rectifier and the stator and battery, i did not replace little rectifier yet, i will test it like you say, and have you come across the 2 sets of 3 yellow wires? i can connect to either 1 from stator, when i took it all apart, i forgot witch 1 plugs into the stator...so i hope i did not blow somthing???has anyone come across that...they should have mad them different...so i got to find a diagram before i put it back together, i bought 1 online but it was the same as my 150, the yellow wires go right into the rectifier, this 250 , it looks like it goes to the harness first goes torward the motor and turns around back to the rectifier.....i dont know why??? THIS ALL STARTED CAZ MY HEADLIGHTS WENT DIM AND SEEM TO GET BRIGHTER WHEN THE COOLANT FAN COMES ON? thanks for any help.....i quess if the test fails i got to take the harness apart

First of all Welcome to the forum and lets take it a step at a time. We are not going to just help you with this problem we are going to fix it. Now Cruiser told you the straight of it on the blocking diode do the test as he said just unplug the diode and jump it with any good piece of heavy wire temporarily. Also don't painc when the headlights come on that's normal, the blocking diode prevents this when all is right. Start the scooter and take a voltage reading on the batery, rev it up some and see if the voltage increases, if the battery is charged well and it's charging you will easily hit 14vdc+. Now if it indeed does charge ok then we'll all give you links to the blocking diode but some are replacing this with a simple realy. Now here is the wiring diagram to the 250B with the linhai, I'm working on a clearer version but haven't finished: The R/R is a 6-pin R/R and it has 3 yellows, black, red, green and you can clearly see where each one goes to with this diagram, chinese wiring can be confusing and even though this diagram is true and correct it doesn't mean that all theses connections are in one simple place but just that his is the proper wiring arrangement. the 3 yellows all tie into the stator and the black and red go to the ignition switch with red being the battery lead and black having 12vdc when the igniton key is turned on. Green is ground. Now I've got to be gone here this evening to pee wee football practice but will be home around 9:00 p.m. central so I'll check back in then. Keep us informed. JR

Speaking of relay, you can replace the diode with an actual relay if you'd like (you can get them at radio-shack). Only downside is that it makes the headlights come on when you turn the key "on," (rather than after the bike starts), but you also gain some extra charging power. The diode takes a bit to "push" it. A few of us here have done that just for the charging benefits.

Yes it is but you will have to adapt it and give me a little bit I think I know where to find the other one.
