The pictures you just put up are your OLD pictures the way it was ORIGINALLY set up with the EVAP canister, I MAY HAVE BEEN BORN LATE BUT NOT YESTERDAY. How the hoses should be now is this way: You have the "T" with the short hose from the intake hooked up to the "T" then fro the "T" a hose going over to the carbs ACV Valve and the other hose from the "T" going to the VACUUM connector on the FUEL PUMP. Then the FUEL HOSE from the Fuel Pump to the Carbs Fuel inlet and that is it. Alleyoop THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE NOW, very simple setup like mine.

Look at the date JUN 27 when it had the EVAP canister attached. So I do not know what you did the picture I put up previous to this post is how it was with the new pump NOW I have no idea what you hooked up all the othere hoses to SINCE I THOUGHT YOU GUYS TOOK THE CANISTER AND ALL THE HOSES BY THE TANK . IF THAT IS HOW YOU CURRENTLY HAVE IT. You should only have 1 "T" for VACUUM,

Hello my dear friend Alleyoop. .. I finally got the bike fixed. Put in a new coil & adjusted the carb & fixed some vac lines..I rode it for the first time a couple of days ago and I can't get the damn thing over 40mph. Before I could hit 60mph without a problem. Do I just need to get the carb broke in or is it something else? Also thank you again for all your previous help. You really taught me a lot. .your the bomb..

Great to hear it is finally up and running. Carbs do not need to be broke in either they are adjusted right or not to have the motor get the right mixture of fuel and air to make the most power. Here is how to adjust the carb: thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/thread/3001/4-stroke-carb-tuningIf you have a tachometer on it what does the rpms register at 40mph. If everything is setup pretty good then I would say the CVT, weights and belt need to be looked out. If the weights have flat spots then you will loose top end speed and new weights will get some speed back.

Now I do have to say IF the scoot was running higher than 40mph before all this started then I would say it is not a CVT problem since it has been down for months without running. So I would first re-check the carb adjustment follow my procedure and see if that helps give it more kick. The only other thing I would question is if the Throttle cable is actually opening the butterfly all the way, which would mean the throttle cable is not adjusted correctly.
To find out if the throttle cable is opening the butterfly all the way do the following: With one hand turn the throttle wheel with your hand all the way and hold it there then with your other hand twist the throttle wide open and hold it. Now release the wheel on the carb and if it rotates up a bit toward the IDLE SPEED SCREW then the throttle cable is not adjusted right and is not opening the butterfly all the way.

I never had a problem with speed before. I could cruise 70 w/o any problems. After my doctors appointment tomorrow I'm taking it back to the shop & see what they have to say. I trust you way more than them but for the money I spent with them I would like it right. Hope your having a great day & thank you again Alley.. P.s. I watched the video for the cvt and I'm pretty sure I can do that..

I would suspect the throttle cable not adjusted right over anything else, seeing that it ran good before all this happened. So I would not suspect the cvt to be that off. When you open the throttle wide open does the motor make any different sounds at Wide Open Throttle, sounds like BURPS, BRATT sounds or POP soounds etc..

I think your right. When your sitting at the light sometimes it acts like it wants to cut of or it just cuts off..
