I bought these get of mopeds. one is a 2008 Benzhou and the other is some form of 50cc Chinese scoot. I am having issues with the one that is unknown. when i first got it it had 45lbs of compression. but after cranking it and squirting some gas and it firing it is consistently at about 80 now. The issue im having is it will fire all day if you put gas in the carb or cylinder, but it will not putter, or run in any which way or form. I owned a ped with a D1E41QMB engine, and this engine looks identical but the number on it are not the same, or even in the same spot. it is a two stroke. Is this a common issue? Ill clean the carb but I don't think that is the issue because it seems like it has no suction through the carb. Thanks for any opinions or help.

It needs new rings , the motors to run need over 100psi min is usually 120PSI. Alleyoop

I don't know what all goes onto the PCV valve. and how can i take it all off? im just realting it to a car which i have more experience with and a car wont run without all of the vacuums hooks up. im getting vacuum out of the hose coming out of the valve cover and one other. the carb is leaking gas out of the over flow when it runs. i figured before i went and bought a new carb i would make sure all of this is right.

Here you go: Alleyoop This is your Charcoal Canister LEAVE the two bottom connectors AS IS, one is a drain and the other is a VENT. That hose is your VALVE COVER VENT HOSE, it should NOT be plugged up IT HAS TO VENT otherwise it will create to much pressure in your crankcase and blow out Seals and Gaskets. Put a Fuel Filter on the end of it and tie it up high someplace NO KINKS.

Thanks for clearing all of that up. im assuming all of the others are right. they look right to me. So i guess new carburetor it is? is there any other reason i would leak out of the overflow other than fuel level or bad inlet valve?

So when you start the scoot gas comes out of the TOP hose on the Carb? If so that means the shutoff valve in the carb bowl is not shutting off the fuel when the bowl gets filled. Take the Carb bowl off and check the float it may be sticking or the Fuel Inlet has built up crud and not sealing when the Float pushs up the Shutoff valve. You can easly clean it out and adjust it if the float is off also if the valve has the rubber pointed tip in tack. Alleyoop

The electric choke would not cause the overflow from the top of the carb. The Electric choke(ENRICHER) feeds fuel directly from the bowl to the intake by the butterfly. You will see a hole on the right side as you look into the intake side of the carb that is the outlet of fuel from the ELECTRIC choke(ENRICHER). When you do take the carb bowl off Get a piece of hose and stick it on the FUEL INLET of the carb and as you hold it like in the picture above GENTLY push the float and blow into the fuel inlet and if it is shutting off the fuel the air your blowing into should NOT COME OUT. That is how to test if it is shutting off the fuel inlet. But the float when it shuts the fuel off should be level up and down as you look at it like in the picture. Alleyoop

You get the 18mm from the center of the float look at the picture. Alleyoop

That's a fact jack look at the pic and look at the slant on the carb, SAMEO SAMEO , use the center of the carb to measure, not either ends. Alleyoop
