What are some symptoms of valves being to loose?

Normally they do not get loose they get tight. Symptoms of tight valves are Hard Starting, after the motor gets hot they die or want to die when you come to stops and to keep them running you have to goose the throttle. Reason is the valves are not closing all the way and are staying open a little which makes the motor loose compression.
Loose valves they will make a RACKET, CLATTER CLATTER CLATTER. Alleyoop

Yup ,the loose valves clatter and tik tik tik--mine had no other symptoms,ran good,and I figured out how they got that way---I didn't get it dead center when I adjusted the valves---be sure to line the marks up on the gears---we have a tutorial on the forum for valve adjustment----good luck,fflintstone
