Never dreamed that the forum would convert this quick. I've just noticed it and I'll be working to get everything in order. please be patient and hang in there.

Follow up to my last post. Come on the forum today only to see that I was now a guest for the second time. Had to log one all over again. Is the new set up not user friendly? Or am I missing something?

Follow up to my last post. Come on the forum today only to see that I was now a guest for the second time. Had to log one all over again. Is the new set up not user friendly? Or am I missing something? Not sure Wolf? When you login do you check the "remember me" box? If so then if you just click off the forum and return later and open the forum you should still be logged in and can go answer posts. etc. But if you don't hit remember me and don't post or click off when you return you may be shown as a guest. Also I know that if you log or shut down your computer it will log you out automatically. Let me know exactly how the guest thing appears and I'll ask the provider what's up? JR

Yeh ,I noticed I had to log in a couple of times and then I found the remember me box--I think there is another reason it may log you out too--like if you don't make a post or if you are gone for a week--not sure--anyhow,my log in box is always filled in for me so all I got to do is click on my name and login--happy trails, everybody, fflintstone

As I understand it the "Remember Me" button on any forum or website puts cookies on your local computer so the next time you visit that site, it can just look at those cookies and know who you are, pre-enter your user ID and password, set up your display preferences the way you like them, etc. There are, however, various settings and cleanup processes you can do on your local computer that will nuke all the cookies, in which case you have to start over again. So if you have to log into this forum again it may not be the forum and JR who are culpable, but something about your own PC.
