On my way home from work, ridding my scoot, I felt grinding through the scoot. About a mile later the tac reved and then I began to smell tranny oil as I was going up an overpass the scoot. Before I reached the top of the overpass the scoot slowed down to a stop. Motor would start but no go when I gave it the gas. ( 12:45 am) Retrieved scoot next day. Hole in cvt cover. Going to need one of these. Took cover off , found a little spring. ? Do you think I might have an axel bearing go bad or what may be my problem. Here we go again Where is the help located on the pro boards ?

What is this a 50cc or a 150cc? If it has a kickstarter it could be a spring from the kickstarter. HOLE In CVT??? are you saying something put a hole in the CVT?? Take a picture of the CVT Cover and the CVT so we can see what is going on. Alleyoop

Alley , it's a mc 250 b just like the one J. R. has . Looks as though the rear shaft has moved forward and the clutch has made a hole in the cover. I need to get the belt off so I can go further. I thought there was a video on removing all this but I can't find it. Still in search for what ever will help me. I guess I could take pics with my phone and send them to JR.

Got to get her apart and take pics as you go Randy. Go to the Yamaha manual section and open the YP250 majesty manual and in the mean time I'll look for some other material.

One video here at least shows the gearbox opened up. He had some spacer washers break and messed up some of the gears.

JR Thought that sounded like a good thing to have, so I looked around the manual section and searched for "Yamaha," "YP250," and "Majesty" with no hits. Can you point me?

Thanks, got it; was thinking it was somewhere on THIS forum. Surprised to read that a Yamaha manual on a 250 from way back in the 90's is Ice Bear's source of information for a new 300.

Thanks. As I said, I searched on Yamaha and other terms in your post, and also just browsed in non-Chinese in various sections of the forum, and missed it. I see now it's on page 2, guess I didn't notice that, though I'm surprised the searches didn't find it.
