Had the cyclone out yesterday, Went to run an errand. When I tried to start the motor it made a strange sound, than nothing. I pulled the plug and the gap was closed. With out the plug i still could not turn over the engine. Towed it home was about 3/4 mile from the house the tow rope became entangled ( was doing 10-12 mph)and I rolled the cyclone. Just a little case of road rash, had it before i'll accept the fact that it will happen again. It would appear to me at this point i'll be needing new motor. It is locked up tight. It rolled home easily though. will also have to invest in a trailer. I have no clue what happened to the motor. I won't be riding any time soon as the wife & kids saw it all happen. Oh well that just the way things happen. I'll have to way the options new motor ( if that is the case) or new scoot..... Don't have the money for either now but what an adventure. Told the wife this is just another way the good lord humbles you. She was up half the night what if? What if? I told her make sure i bleed out than call emergency services, that's why we carry insurance policy's for. Hell new house, cash, new guy start over.. She did not see the humor or contingency plan in it... You would think after 28 years she know me by now.... now in a couple of days i'll be able to start the tear down. Just so you all understand I am not very caviler about life. But as we all know we only get so many heart beats. I was never a big risk taker but I do believe life is for the living, yes I do have a very understanding wife she's a northern girl (red lake Minnesota), objway love her alot. Thought's or suggestion's (for the cyclone)..... Paul

just a good case of "black top fever"on the arms, hands and left knee. I'm a little to sore to tear into it. The motor locked up. But it free floated fine. All my buddies were conveniently to busy to help. So I got the wife to help flat tow it home. Stupid mistake. It took out the windshield and added character to the side. As for me it was a stupid ,stupid way to go it was leave it to be stolen ( which the insurance would not cover) and get the trailer 31 miles away or flat toe it. I called 12 different tow company's. No one will tow a broken down bike. They might damage it. I'm seriously thinking about a part time company towing only bikes.. All over the city of reading not a single one would tow a broke down bike. Accident no problem, dui no problem A cash paying customer NOPE!!!

Your story makes me question the "roadside assistance" insurance I have on both of my scoots. It only costs a pittance per year, but if there's nobody who will tow/trailer a broken-down scoot, what good is it?

If the insurance says they have a tow and or repair they made deals with the tow trucks company. All you have to do is call the insurance company if you need a tow, they will call the company in your area they made a deal with. I know it works my brother-in law and I have foremost insurance and we have full coverage including tow and or even a flat tire they will come out and fix it or tow it.

I called every towing company in and around reading pa. with triple a my wife is a 'premium" member. their response was it must have at least 4 wheels. i figure i'll tell the wife to bring the old tire that came with the trike. Nope!!! I flagged down a passing roll back will pay you cash. No can do. 4 miles 100$ cash. I'll be purchasing a utility trailer, that will be kept at the house. the place i work at has an account with a rental company, my job is road service/ repairs/ vehicle maintenance. but till i got that trailer back to lowes parking Lott that trike would be gone. it was a loose/loose situation. i opted for plan b and well that didn't work out well for me physically. I have since called allstate (my insurer) motorcycle nope! aaa out of reading, nope! geico. you lizards sell it back it up....Nope!!!! I don't know if it is a stupid PA thing or what!!! So all I can do is go get that utility trailer for 200$ thats been for sale a couple miles from the house. it will cost me maybe 24$ a year for tags. I do burn firewood so it would be useful... pull it with the jeep or company van.

So you've actually used it, Alley? I have Progressive right now via USAA, but am thinking of changing to Foremost as Progressive has ticked me off in a couple bureaucratic ways already in my first year with them. How long have you had Foremost, and what have been your experiences? Feel free to take it over to the PM side if you'd rather.

No I have not used it yet, I have it Foremost for two years now, but my brother-in law used them he had a flat IN THE GARAGE and they came and fixed it IN THE GARAGE(HAHA). Now my brother-in law had a stroke about 8 years ago and his whole left side is bad and he cannot do much of anything not that he would anyway(HAHA). Alleyoop
