Need help finding Long Case Cover Gasket By Saber (Read 442 times)

Still no luck in finding a long case gasket. Ebay no luck internet search Nothing. I know there has to be one out there some were.

Its not even listed in JR's parts list.

Any one know were to find the Long case rubber gasket for the Honda clone 172mm Jonway cf moto? It looks just like the one from parts for scooter only needs to be longer. I would even buy a complete gasket kit if I knew it would be in it.

Others have suggested that gasket is superfluous, since there are various openings to the case anyway so the gasket isn't really keeping anything out. If you can't find one, though, I'm wondering if you couldn't jerry-rig one by slitting some small rubber tubing -- fuel hose, maybe? -- and slipping it over the entire edge of the case. You'd probably have to keep it in place with some clear silicone or it'll drive you nuts every time you remove and reinstall the case.

I hear yah ellpee. My goal is to stop the squeaking sound. The rubber has worn away do to the cover vibrating. It was made worse by the previous owner missing one of the two bolts. That's why I am looking. I could RTV it but I like having access and really don't want the mess. Funny that something so cheap is this hard to locate.
