Welcome Two High Flying Eagles Good to have you on the forum, and yes those are very popular scoots and motors. Form what your saying and the speeds its gets to it must have the the LINHAI 257cc motor those are nice motors PITA to adjust the Exhaust Valve unless you have a lift though. But yes you came to the right place for any help with the 250s+ scoots. JR has two of them and knows the ins and outs on them. He has one and his wife has one, see the BANNER with the RED scoots scrolling across the top of the page THOSE are JRS and his wifes scoots. Now he will tell you that RED are the FASTEST Alleyoop

Hey Thanks i dont know about red its my favorit color but it also gets a lot of looks from the law also , and yes it does have the 257 linhai in it, ive noticed your trike nice dont believe ive ever seen one like that befor looks fast and mean, cool!, ive noticed a ratteling in mty trans i think its coming from the variator may be the rollers are going bad should i put in sliders in stead? and would like to put in a bigger preformance variator just to tighten up the take off, its just a bit sluggish there and after looking at your trike ill bet you have some good ideas of how to class up this scooter a bit . heres a bit about it, 257 linhai motor vary sound , with 2 on it will do 80 on the flats w.o.t. looses 2.5 mph on long big hills, with one on it 85 on the flats w.o.t and maintains 79 mph up long big hills, itll cruse at 70 to 75 all day with out fluttering at all with either 1 or 2 on it, its the us model full frame heaver than the japanise J C L found out that yes there are to types the us is a older model, i dont really want to modify the motor carb or exhust i believe it to be fine as is, what do you think ? but want to fix it up some you know jazz it up a little, ;D , and a little better pick up off the line so to speak, i had a reflex i sold it cheap it couldnt compare to a jcl, , hey sorry didnt mean to bend your ear, i have a lot more questions than answers , i try to ask them one at a time as we go , i think im going to enjoy this forum thanks for the come back, ill be waiting to talk scooters some more with you guys and gals. really want to know more about that trike its a custom job right? for now twoeagles over and out............ TwoEagles, If your ride does what it does on the flats and up hills that is FANTASTIC my man. That is EXCELLENT not to many people can claim that kind of performance and I am telling it like it is. Those 250s have a huge Variator and Clutch Pulley, the Variator is 123mm in diameter. But for just a little more MOJO taking off and mid-range all you need is just a little lighter weights. What that does is require higher RPMS to push out the Variator and keep the belt lower in the Variator little longer as the RPMS start to climb for more UMP starting and mid-range. You will have to take the current weights out and weigh them and then 1 & 2 gram lighter weights to experiment with for you t decide what you like. Now if you go to light you may loose some top end so have to find a happy medium. Concerning my Trike, it is an ICE BEAR Trike it is not a custom built they have different models. I bought mine when they first came into the country back in March of 2009, it has a 150cc 157QMJ motor. If you look at it, it has the same body as yours, what they did is take the 250 took the rear wheel off and built a Swing arm to hold the rear AXLE. But they slapped a 150 motor in(BUMMER). It is heavy comes in a 350 lbs without rider, out of the crate it used to only do 50mph at 8200 rpms. I worked on it some got it to do mid 50s but still wanted more(HEHE). So Like the comedian used to say I RE-WIRED it and put a V8 ;D I have just about every mod you can think of on it and it SMOKES fastest 150 Trike around Here is what my PST150H Ice Bear Trike currently has it was a 149.6cc Motor now it is 182cc motor: 62mm BBK 60mm Stroker Crank 16/37 Hoca Tranny Gears – Original were 13/40 Reduction gear is 43 teeth K&N Air Filter with a Short Stack SuperTrapp Muffler 1 1/4 Header Pipe 24mm Carb #122.5 Main Jet #38 Pilot Jet Performance Coil/CDI Manual Choke Iridium Plug 115mm KOSO Variator 12g Dr. Pulley Sliders 205/65-10 Kenda Load Tires-3"s taller than OEM 29 tooth Drive Sprocket-came with 24 tooth. DID 428 Pro V Series O-Ring Chain Givia 29" tall Windshield All Led bulbs Except the Headlights-I do not drive at night 4 way Flasher Turn Signal Beeper Relay for the Beeper connected to the Brakes VIP Trunk with Led lights Flasher on Vip Trunk lights Radio with SD card,MP3 connections JIM from RapidRepair, he has Dealer banner on the top page is an Authorized ICE BEAR dealer and he sells them as well as parts and works on them. Jim was the one that bored out my motor and slapped in the BBK and Crank. I could not find anyone that would bore the motor out then JIM PMed me and said he could do it. So I hauled the trike 400 miles up to Wisconsin and dropped it off. Then when he was done I went and picked it up. Jim has a Thread and pictures of the build on here in his shop the rest is history. [replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- holy cow does that thing sing to you also, that trike looks so cool and sounds like you put a lot of love and work into it really really nice job may be it wasnt costum when you got it but it is now, ive seen a lot of trikes but none like yours , shes really cool , love it, yes my JCL does every thing i said , its a little beasty, i looked at a 550 yamaha a year old, tested it but it didnt run or respond like mine and for the money and only gaining 10 mph it just wasnt worth it, even the people at the scooter dealer ship were amazed at the way my scooter ran said they never seen a 257 scooter act like that, thanks for the info on the lighter rollers, thats what ill do, i think ill put in lighter sliders tho i here the respond better than rollers thanks again ,and keep that cool trike looking and running well twoeagles.
