Hello i have here a 150cc lance Venice scooter. Its a 2008 and has a GY-6 engine. It was working fine but i have notice a decrease in speed in the past week. I have notice it getting slower and slower. And now it only tops the speed at 20 mph. I also notice that it is sort of stuck in 1st gear. I'm not sure but i think it dose not change because i use to feel it change to second and even third.( but not sure) I was wondering if any of you guys know why i'm loosing soo much power. Thank you in advance for your interest.

You have to take the CVT cover off and check out the belt. Here is a VIDEO: Alleyoop
Now it could be your belt or the weights in the VARITOR or both. I think its your weights peronnaly they are probably well worn out. This Video Shows you the CVT and belt change:

I'd check your diaphragm in the top of your carb. If its bad you will loose speed.
I remember a member on scootdawg that had a diaphragm problem on scootdawg titled "I can't drive just 25!" something like that. I think her handle was bizzibody. I'm looking that up
