I'm new to scooting and my neighbor gave me and old one with some parts missing that I've been rebuilding. i have the majority of the wiring system under wraps but i still cant figure out what the circled part in the attached picture is. one wire that leads to it is green and black that leads to a connector with nothing attached to it. the other lead coming off of it does go anywhere just kind of free hanging on the front. please help!! it is a ballast resistor . I bet it is a 2007 or older scooter ? I would think it goes to the headlight power wire to help hold the acv feeding the headlight from getting too high .

You need to adjust the air/fuel mix ratio screw you will find it under a cap looking thing on the left side of the carb. What I did on mine was turn it in all the way then I backed it out 1(1/4) turns then went from there. I'm no expert but that might fix the problem
