It is said that humans perform better on an empty (or near) empty stomach. Could the scooter be the same?
Now I don't know if I am imagining myself but more than once have I noticed a slight improvement in performance when the tank is almost empty such as having about 4 liters left (6 or 7 pints).
Now is this my imagination or perhaps as a result of less fuel pressure on the pump and carb bowl because of the diminished weight (gravity) of the full tank gas and basically a slightly leaner gas delivery to the engine. The scoot feels more lively and responsive.

I think I understand now. It's simply because it is about 26 lbs lighter, probably near the end of the month so no reason to cart my wallet around which creates extra weight.
