Wow, sat through the entire film. Sure brought back some fine memories of my high school, military, and college days. My friend had one of those 50 Chevy cars. They really looked nice. I remember one friend had a convertible like the red one in the film. Amazing bunch of links and actions to open or close the tops.
Sure glad I watched it all. Much of the music was remembered too.
Thanks Alleyoop. .

I remember it all. Checking the drag, the cars, the music. It was our age of innocence, not to be seen again. It was the best of times.

OK Wolf take a look at this one: Now the not seen again? This is a little station out in a little non-incorporated community of Augsburg Arkansas. It's up by Dover in Pope County about 1-1/2 hours from me and it's still in business, pumps still work. And yes I have bought gas there. Some but only a few of the things we new as a kid are still here. JR

Ah Hank a 55 or 56 Fairlane, very hard to tell which year. If memory serves me right they came with either a 272 or 292 V-8 with the crossover pipe on the front of the exhaust manifold. Sweet cars.

Both the gas pumps and the 55 Ford bring back memories from thst time. Thee was still 1 station in Oakley (NC) using those old pumps in the early 50s. You , or the attendant , pumped the gas by hand up to the top tank and it was gravity fed to your tank.
