well finally after many trails and errors and good suggestions the 'cat run" is finally done, im NOT gonna spend another dime on it. TILL i find another great idea--lmsao if you saw my other thread you will notice the changes
i took down the fence and cut & attached it to the run itself. i did put screen on the inside of the fence. So its the metal wire, screen then the fence. heres a shot from the street.
the side and back
the board on the outside is to try and stop the weather from getting into the tent. If u 'member there is a section of the cat run going thru the tent, so i wanted to stop the rain, snow, etc
this pic is looking down the inside of the 'run' from the corner near the street, down the side near the street.
this one is from the same corner going across the back of the tent pass the short cut thru the tent, to the jump up area to get back on the porch.
this is the front with the gate closed
gate open
the piece that goes across the front is held in by about 5-6 zip ties on each side here it is setting off to the side so i can get the scoot out
front section removed and with spare sections slightly zip tied, if i was leaving for a ride, it would be REALLY zip tied.
Chrissy 1/2 way out
all the way out
Chrissy tucked away, i have to turn the 'trunk' around , so it fits better she doesnt have the M/C cover on but if you notice, there's a disc brake lock, a heavy duty chain going thru the step thru, and a cable lock going thru the rear wheel
here you can see the 'battery tender' all ready connected, all i have to do is flip a switch inside and it turns that on.
just another shot from the front LIKE I SAID, THESE CATS ARE GOING TO BE WELL PROTECTED WHEN IM NOT HERE, AND IM NOT SPENDING ANOTHER FREAKING DIME, well until i find something cool so they can enjoy their life a bit better
AND JUST FOR NEW READERS
and heres the porch area
this isnt the greatest cat run i could make but we only own the 10 feet from porch to street and 6 inchs off the sidewalk around the house so VERY limited area

actually no its the front i rent the whole 2nd floor and we have about 10 ft from porch to street 6 inches around the rest of the house, well off the sidewalk.
and the street is very busy, but i wanted then to be able to come and go, and since thats the only ground we have oh well

How many cats do you have and how do you get them to the run area? By hand I would imagine. It is a great set up for a limited amount of space.

a lil background. i've been here a bit over 9 years. the landlord has been going to replace the door and windows the whole time. if you light a stick of incense, you can see the smoke going in or out of the windows. But i dont pay for anything but a set rent. so if he wants the heat going out the window in the winter, or the ac going out the few weeks i use a ac, in the summer. Well its his lose. there are 2 apts on the 1st floor, 1 efficiency and 1 small one bedroom. The efficiency has been empty for over 1 3/4 of a year & the 1 bedroom has been empty for 1 yr and 3 months. He's losing $ , but i dont care. The door, hes been replacing that the whole time. Couple-3 years ago, during a hugh freeze out, it got stuck. i kicked it a few times, and well kicked a hole in it. i fixed it, since i didnt want the 'kids' escaping. I built a 'shed' type thing on the porch, to keep my scoot, "Chrissy" in outa the weather and the hoodlums. i used sheets of paneling and alot of zip ties.. lol well the next year , the landlord got almost free siding and roof, because of hail damage. IT was bad in this area. so i had to tear apart my 'shed'. i bought the tent garage for "Chrissy". so i built the 1st section of the cat run, right on the porch.
with some kitty condos since the door already had a hole in it, i jerry rigged it.
the red arrow shows a section i built so they couldnt jump out as the door was opening, and the blue shows a screen to stop jumping over the top and heres the inside, which has plastic on it now, to stop wind, and it can 'lock' i dont like them out all night
How many cats do i have?/ lol 6 total now, 3 of mine and 3 rescues
Piggers, boy, 11 years old
Snuggle Bunny aka bun bun, girl, 11 years old, pigs & her r siblings
Kitty kitty Bitty bitty, 7 yeas old, girl, piggers daughter.
Fred, 4, boy a rescue
Larry Berry berry, boy, 3 , a rescue
Homeless, 1-2, boy another rescue
