Is there a means of buying aftermarket or replacement windshields which are better suited for long distance highway traveling for these Chinese scooters? This particular trike's windshield is great for protecting the speedometer from bird droppings while parked, but really does nothing to help with wind fatigue at high speeds. If anything, it seems to direct the wind right at your face/helmet. Got a Slipstreamer Scoot-50 for mine. Haven't installed it yet but size seems right. Interesting looking Windshield. Never knew they had scooter shields that mounts to the mirror posts. I'm going to have to look and see if my mirrors will lend themselves to that kind of mount, since the are not quite the norm. Have you had a chance to mount your's since the previous post? Is this what you purchased? .powersportsuperstore.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=4705920" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.powersportsuperstore.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=4705920

Yep, that's the one. Got er for Christmas! No my lazy ass hasn't installed it yet. By the way, what kind of dampers did you get and where did ya get 'em?

Yes there is a broken weld on the Left side, look closely as the Video starts and he starts to whiggle the front. You can see play in the bottom bolt in the Sleeve and the weld holding the Sleeve to the control arm piece. Alleyoop And Alley I talked to Justin and there were no broken welds on his RT, just loose bushings and an alignment problem.

I got the LONG version. Might have been better to have gotten the short ones, as I'd have been able to have positioned them at different angles, in order to find that sweet spot between performance, and functionalitiy: Ebay# 380402251501

I replaced the nuts on my hub/swing arm there at the bottom with internal nylon material, that seem to be good as lock nuts. Hoping it keeps them good and tight. Glad he didn't have broken welds, as I was really worried that was coming later down the road.

I went through the same process as you with the front shocks but with mine at the maximum setting I get a comfortable, stable ride. Oh, and thanks for the info on the steering stabilizers, I may look into them but once the weather gets a little nicer I think I'll mess with the alignment first.

If you watch this 13ish mile run, (especially the beginning part on loose gravel) You'll probably see how I have to sway (pay close attention to the horizon) from time to time to keep the trike on course and upright. I'm sure it's amplified by me being well over 200 lbs, so hopefully going with air shocks , I'll be able to hold the road a little better.

OK, Front End's are a royal PAIN, in my humble opinion at this point... The new shocks had a great (positive) effect on the ability to maintain easier upright stability while riding the trike. Translation, takes less shifting of body weight left to right to keep the trike upright. BUT - The new air shocks have changed the dynamics of the tire angles, the trike sits slightly higher than it did, so now the wheels are closer at the bottom, than on the top. This seems to have amplified the tank slapping effect, especially when braking with the front brakes. More "TOE OUT" helps, but I feel like I'm riding a trike with deformed feet sticking out from each other... Think, I should return these new air shocks, and go for a shorter throw, in order to make the wheels sit closer at the top than the bottom? I suspect they must have changed the caster more towards a negative, than positive, but didn't get a chance to play with the trike to much today. Hopefully later in the week, I'll have some time and good weather to make some measurements.

Don't know much about air shocks but I assume they came with those springs. Could it be that the new springs are too long and/or have too stiff a dampening rate?

It's been pretty cold the last couple of days, I went ahead and tuffed it out long enough to check the oil in the engine (cold). At 28F, it's the consistency of jelly if you were to stir/chop it up with a spoon in the jar. What's up with that? I will certainly be changing that out, before taking the bike out for any more joy rides. I would suggest you use a full synthetic oil if you ride in that kind of weather.

I am now using Amsoil's " Formula 4-Stoke, Synthetic Scooter Oil SAE 10W-40" now that the engine is broke in.

The overall length of both the OEM and New shocks are exactly the same. It's just there is no sag of the upper/lower A frames with the new shocks, so it sits up higher, changing the camber of the two front wheels, and maybe the caster as well without a load or driver on the Trike. I've not been able to take measurements with someone sitting on the trike of my similar weight yet.
