Looks like I will go buy a impact wrench tomorrow then boys... Ill be moving up in the world. Hopefully after all this the threading will go smoothly!

And also about how many miles before changing belt? Can I get the belt for these scoots at a local auto parts story like oreilly's?

Well went and bought a impact wrench today still wouldn't take it offfff!!!!!

That impact wrench should take the variator nut right off, then you can remove the variator fan, then belt, and you should be able to slide the variator off the shaft. do you have the impact wrench set on counter-clockwise?

Well went and bought a impact wrench today still wouldn't take it offfff!!!!! Now what. Newscooter, are you saying the OUTSIDE NUT that holds it in place you cannot unscrew? It unscrews COUNTER CLOCKWISE just in case you have the impact set to CLOCKWISE. You could put some heat to the nut then try the impact wrench on it. Alleyoop
