What is the big difference in the CN250 engine in the Helix vs MC-13-250? They appear to be identical.. The Honda Helix 250 under specs claims it will do 75 mph verses the Roketa MC-13-250 which specs claim will do 68 mph topspeed. The Helix wieghs 347 lbs and the MC-13-250 wieghs 271 lbs.. The MC-13-250 may be able to take the Helix in a short distance race, due to the lighter wieght of scooter design. Do you believe the MC-13-250 scooter could beat the Helix 250 in a short distance race? ;D Attachments:

As with anything all depends on conditions? The Bali 250 may have lower gears, we don't know? The helix was designed for cruising speeds and from all the ones I have seen struggle in the hills so that indicates to me heavier roller weights and/or higher gears. Also you go to remember another thing the Bali 250 has the 10" back wheel which effects the top end as well. Also Welcome to the forum Chaz! JR

MC-13-250 wieghs 271 lbs..
Are you sure about that? My 150 weighs 272. My wife's Rebel weighs 330. I see Superiorpowersports says 286 but I have a hard time with that even.
There's very little difference in the Helix and CN 250. Many parts interchange as I discovered when I bought a transmission shaft. The big difference between a Honda and a Roketa is in materials and workmanship. There's a reason why a Helix listed for $5500 and a Roketa is under $2000. I've held the Japanese shaft and Chinese counterpart in my hands and the differences in just appearance was marked. Helix owners have gone over 100,000 miles with ridiculous regularity. It will be interesting to see how many Roketas and Helix clones reach that mileage.

His weight is very close KZ. The Helix is one heavy scooter period. I have the Bali 150 and the Bali 250 is an exact scooter except the engine and rear wheel. The 150 has 12" wheels and the 250 again has the little 10" wheel.
Don't see much weight difference between a GY-6 and a 244cc and that's probably offset by larger to smaller wheels/tires.
The Bail scooter is a Honda Foresight copy and your moto is a copy of the helix. The only thing similiar is the engine.

That wise man probably made a mistake on this one. Most of the sites actually do list the Bali 250 at 271 lbs. gokartsusa.com/roketamc-13bali250mopedscooterfreeshipping.aspxBut I can also find the 250B listed all over the place too. Bulk wise the Bali is wider and even harder to mount, my 250's are easier to ride IMO. Got a friend that works at a feed mill with drive on truck scales, one of these days I'll end the debate. JR

Actually, when I put my Bali on a set of truck scales it read 340lbs.

Just makes those Chinese specs look nuts doesn't it! When you put the scooters side by side without even mounting them your first impression is "man that's a heavy scooter". Welcome to the forum! JR
