Amos ohm readings on the coils are not reliable and accurate, one can take 2 new coils and recieve two different readings. What I believe is that you are not getting power to the TCI and/or coil. Here is the diagram for the Linhai Mainstreet 300 which is supposed to be the same as the Aelous 260? thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=250g&thread=504&page=1Now the question is what wires arte supposed to have power? We know the blac/yellow and blue goes from the TCI to the coil. So I'm going to say green is ground which is listed on the wiring diagram as black. Red/black is the pulse or pickup wire from the stator so that leaves blue/yellow. ,Now according to the diagram this scooter has a starting relay that is triggered when hitting the start button and also has a side stand cut off switch. If either one of these are bad no start. Going to have to trace some of these wires out. The red/white from the fuse box feeds the purple wire to the starter relay that sends power down the blue/yellow to the TCI. JR

My LinHai 260T runs out fine @ 50-65 mph .... when I decelerate for a turn or stop at light .... scooter dies. I can hit the start button, it starts up most of the time then I accelerate and it runs fine and smooth until I have to slow down to 10-15 mph .... any help is much appreciated.
Amos:)

Sounds like your valves are tight, and if they are it will not hold IDLE very well they want to die. First thing you should do is adjust your valves. Alleyoop

valves adjusted .... still will not hold idle .... reinstalled old ignition box .... holding idle much better and is not chugging @ lower speeds ..... will tweak the fuel mix (maybe that will help)

I'm betting this is the old "Bad Throttle Slide Diaphragm" Syndrome again. Does the 260 use a different carb than the CN 250 J.R.?
