I recently replaced the CDI box , new plug , Carb adjusted, valves adjusted ... ran great for a couple of days. The unit started bogging down and stalling out .... then would run fine after sitting for 30-45 minutes. The unit turns over but there is absolutely no spark. Thanks in advance for your help.

First of all welcome to the forum. First of all I want to be sure of what scooter you have? You say Linhai 260 and if it is truly a Linhai 260 scooter it doesn't have a CDI system rather it has a TCI system, which does the same jobe but is also different than the conventional CDI type. Now if you have the BMS 260 with the linhai engine then that's a different story or even the VOG 260. Either way I need to know two things, how many wires on the CDI and the colors and how many wires on the coil and the colors. When I get that info I can for sure identify what you have and we can go from there. JR

Jr, this. Is the scooter we spoke about yesterday afternoon. I worked with Amos last night using the bog diagram in the tech section. It was frustrating reading wire color off the diagrams (I couldn't) . I assumed being a 250cc it is a dc cdi. We could find pulse voltage 1.4ac. With the cdi unplugged I could not find kill ground or power for the cdi. I looked at the diagram and it shows two wires from the stator to the cdi. We did a crank test for p/u voltage, there was no ac to power the cdi. I gave it my best shot with what I had to work with.
Amos has worked the grounds already. John

OK if it is the VOG here is the system and how it works.
CDI colors equal:
Green = ground Black/yellow = CDI feed to coil Green/white = ground feed to stator Brown/black = 12Vdc from battery Blue/yellow = pulse or pick coil wire from stator
Now take in mind guys on some VOGs they wire them like the 250B with the linhai, why? Who knows? But some arer wired like the BMS 260 or BMS VOG, that why I asked what scooter and what wire colors. If your scooter doesn't have the above colors let me know and I can figure out the configuration.
Now it is puzzling that you have two wires from the stator to the CDI but the stator recieves it's grounding through the CDI hookup. All CDI's have two ground pins and they are connected to each other internally.
Now the Brown/black wirte is the 12Vdc fed to the CDI and it you trace it out it runs through a series of two kill switches one on the kick stand the other on the right handle bar and they are in series so if either switch is bad = no power to CDI.
ALSO the system is fed power from the key switch through a fuse box so blown fuse = no power to CDI.
So one again needs to turn the key on, make sure the kill switch is in the run position and the kick stand is right and test for 12Vdc on the brown/black wire on the CDI. If it has no power then it's time to trace it out and find out why?
Again if the colors are not what I said let me know and a picture would be a lot of help.

Take a picture of your CDI so we can see the colors of the WIRES and the CDI itself. Also a picture of the COIL. Alleyoop

looks like the primary side of the coil should have 12v when the ignition is on .

Gonna need a little wire color clarification help Alley. At least on my computer the pictures are like my head not clear! This appears to be the true Linhai brand 260 scooter and not ther 260 VOG or BMS VOG. If so then it doesn't have a CDI but rather a TCI. I need to know the wire color/s in the pictures. JR

Cool, I emailed Amos to either take better pictures of the wiring and send them to me and or email me the colors and or update this thread with the wire colors. Alleyoop
