Hello Im going to buy a used scooter i found a 2007 jcl-a 250cc and a 2008 ,260 linhai they both are really nice and have about the same milage1100 mi, and both about the same price i need it to get back and forth to work and i need to travle 5 miles on a inter state i was told the linhai could hit 80 if needed in a short burst of speed and will cruse at 65, and the jcl would do 70 to 75 in a short burst if needed and would cruse at 60 to 65 the linhai does have a linhai/yamaha motor not shure what the jcl has in it was just wondering witch is the better scooter for the money 1100.00 for either one thank for any advise Hilander

I'd go with the 260 linhai, I have a 2008 mc-54-250b roketa scooter (it is the linhai/yamaha clone 257cc) They are easy to work on, and they are a real work horse of a motor, imho I believe the linhai/yamaha is the better engine,

Ok I'll try to see exactly what you have and welcome to the forum. Now the JCL250A in 07 did come out with the vertical 244cc Cfmoto cloned engine, have seen a few but not many and it also came out with the 257cc yamaha/linhai clone. I own one of these along with a Roketa 250B both have the linhai engine and it's no secret that I prefer the linhai. So with that said look at this tech how to on figuring out which engine you have; thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=250ee&action=display&thread=191Now you say linhai 260? This couild be the VOG 260 or the linhai 260 and it does indeed have the linhai engine. The VOG and linhai 260 are cloned look alikes of the 250 Burgman. Myself I like the 250A & B which is a copy of the Honda Reflex scooter. So put up some links or pictures of the proposed scooters you are looking at and we'll sort out all your questions and concerns. Either way we know these scooters here at professor and are always here to help. JR

you got to sit on it and feel what you like most. I like the grey one better, for looks; and it looks like it's missing a back storage bin, perhaps you could still find one for your bike!
The blue one has a back seat rest, which could be a real comfort, or, if you're a tall guy, could be a limitation. If my memory serves right, some bikes allow you to remove the back support of the driver though. My bike has the same back support as the grey bike; eventhough on mine (BMS 260) I can stretch my legs quite comfortably, and if I wanted to, push me halfway on the passenger's seat. If the backsupport of the blue bike is non removable, and you're tall like me (6'3"), you might be limited in space with your knees and the steering wheel.
