I was looking on scootersgeorgia.com website yesterday morning to see if they had anything left. I ordered a Tank muffler for a very cheap price. Then I got an email back saying they were crediting my money back on my card because the muffler had already sold. Fine... However, I get a call from the bank today saying that one charge yesterday afternoon and another today in the amounts of $560 and $282 (plus cents) showed up on my credit card payable to Euro Car Parts. Luckily everything was stopped and a new card was issued. So either their website is compromised or they have some crooks working for them. My suggestion is to stay away.

Tankrider, did you try to call them and let them know what happened? I know how you feel I do my banking online and check my statement every morning and just this past Janurary my debit card had been used to the tune of over $2k. Dang people ven paid their electrical bill with it!
Took two eeks to get all my money back and I did find out that the bank had these people prosecuted.

I left a message with their customer service dept and followed it up with an email. Main thing is my bank caught it and their fraud section is following it up. The charges were 'out of character ' so it raised a red flag on my account.

Hey Tank, thanks for the heads up. Glad you didn't get screwed in any way and hopefully no-one else will either.
This is 1 reason I would rather buy from folks like Rappid Jim or others that support us even if I spend a few $ more. I do understand saving a few bucks but it's just my way of repaying some of these venders for info they freely give me (weather or not they ever know how much they've help me) Just MHO

I agree with MC. Fortunately my dealer is small, and a good friend. He keeps me from making bad purchases and does my repairs in return for my careing for his dogs and cat when he needs to travel.

Tank, I have done business with them in the past, they are only a few miles from me, and never had a problem. This is just one of the guys businesses and he was always straight up in our dealings. His son passed away about 3 years ago and he dropped scooters completely and has been selling off partrs inventory since. I would suspect that his site has been comprimised or someone in the office is double dealing. I am sorry that this happened to you but glad that your bank caught it.

yes MC i agree, greg @ eshop.mainelyscooters.com/shop/
talked me thru lots of stuff, patiently, when i 1st got Chrissy. and later also, even. so i always try to buy from him.
i bought 2 fly wheel pullers from him, the 1st, i thought i mighta Fed it up so he sent another, free well this time i checked it as opening it was bad to. on both the 1st 3-4-5 threads were Fed up. & he sent me 'used' parts, tested to fix my stator prob. & i think i owe him a few $
long story short greg's a great guy, i check newest threads on SD now & then, never see his name anymore at all. guess he got tired of the BS also.
anyways i try to buy from the venders who i know
or maybe he got a g/f ? hhhhmmmm

One last comment. He also operates FlagsGeorgia.com from the same address and seems to be active and well stocked. Hope this is not happening there as well. I agree with TerriLee. Try to always deal with folks you know and who have given you good service.

I have bought electrical parts from them in the past with no problems. That's why it was such a shock. I knew he has been liquidating his parts.

That's never a good thing, I take CC I try my best to keep peoples information to a minimum. Swipe transactions are best for both.
