It just wont crank, in searching I found the thread about the brake switch.
I also have had to sand the left side twice, but this time my headlights and brake lights wont come on when I turn the key, but the Gauges would power up.
But then soon after the gauges stopped powering up. If I bridge the ignition switch my gauges power up again, but no headlight and no crank.
It will start if I jump the solenoid and bring current to the ignition coil. Not sure what is the problem. Checked all the fuses.
The last time I jumped all the switches to get it to start, the 2 relays that hang in the front got real hot, so I think I have a short or an arc somewhere.
Has anyone dealt with this beast before and has a solution.

First of all welcome to the forum! Ok this scooter by Xingyue is a tough customer to find any information on such as a wiring digram. What people do use is information from the BMS alike scooter the VOG. Here is the BMS 260 wiring diagram; thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=250g&action=display&thread=506I'll start by asking some questions: What are you refering to on the thing about sanding? When you say you checked the fuses did you just look at them or ohm them to see if they were indead good? Have you inspected the fuse box well? They are notorious for having bad wires or bads connections to them. Do you have a side stand switch like in the diagram. The relays you're talking about in the front? Won't know what they are unless you can post a picture of them. Can you look this diagram over and see if it matches your scooter? JR

I agree with JR that we'll need some clarity, but I'll add a few observations that might help with the diagnosis: I have the Vog, and none of the lights should come on just by turning the key. In fact, one way to see if your brake switch is bad (and thus potentially your ignition safety) is to see if the brake lights come on with the key. Mine did once, and I found the brake switch had melted in the open position. One way to test the ignition/brake switch is to try pressing the left brake and see if it starts. Also, have someone help you to see if both brakes will light up the brake lights.
Also, the gauges and the horn are on the same fuse. You should check the fuses as a matter of course. As you know, the fuse box is almost inaccessible but you should give it a try.

This is my scooter also. Check to make sure the wires going to the coil are OK. If you still have the air tube pressing on the spark plug boot, you need to check the boot out. The connector for the main hot wire from the battery to the ignition switch needs to be checked out. The inside of mine was green (corrosion). I ended up soldering the wires direct. You will have to take the front covers off. And while your up there you should check the other connectors as well. One at a time. You will want to make sure the front ground is OK also. There is a bolt on the frame,
Good luck with your journey.
