First of all welcome to the forum. The engine you bought has a 3-phase stator more than likely a 11-pole but it also could be a 12-pole? Either way we can make it all work but you're going to have to do some re-wiring. First of all I need some information and possibly some pictures to know where to start. You say you have MC-17 and is this your scooter? .roketa.com/product/2610/0/2624.shtml" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.roketa.com/product/2610/0/2624.shtmlIf not which one? The MC-17 comes in 3 models and the Sicily has a 3 phase stator; .roketa.com/product/productlist/2610.shtml" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.roketa.com/product/productlist/2610.shtmlSo now here are my questions? On the old engine what are the wire colors of each wire and how many? On the old engine what are the wire colors of the recifier (R/R) the original R/R? Now on your new engine I can see the 3-plug and it has 3 yellows but I can't see the single bullet connector wires so what color is each one of them? On the new R/R in the picture I can't see the color of the wires so what are they? Also one last question and it'll depend on if you use the item you listed as not knowing about? Does this scooter have a on/off headlight switch? I know it has a dimmer switch and if that's the only switch on the headlight system then the lights should be on as soon as you start the scooter but if it has a on/off headlight switch and a dimmer switch then you will need the item in the picture you don't know about. It is a load resistor and is used when you have a on/off headlight switch, it keeps a load on the R/R when the headlights are in the off position. If you don't have a load on the R/R at all times it generally won't last long because it shunts extra non-needed voltage to ground. On the MC-17 Sicily wiring diagram it seems to show a on/off switch (diagram very unclear) but I don't see a load resistor? That should just about do it if you can answer those questions we can get started and I'm in and out all day so I'll keep a check on this, have a softball game tonight with my grand daughter and I generally fall asleep in my chair in front of the forum every night! Again welcome to the forum and hang in there we'll get her going. JR

the reason why we changed the engine was because for some odd reason the rear wheel used to get stuck for no reason , it used to turn on from time time , but the one day it just decided not to turn on . and when i tried to crank it over the ground wires that were on the frame used to want to melt off including the ones going all the way to the starter solenoid .
that is the reason why the engine was changed
