Take the scoot or a part to a local auto paint store or body shop. They should be able to read the paint and tell you the mix. .

Sorry they just don't come with paint codes? Best thing is to go to a good automotive that sells auto paint and has one of those computer paint analysers. JR

Awesome on the running hot problems being fixed. Like I tell all just about the time you think you're going to pull your hair out you get it to burp out. Air is the hardest thing to get oput sometimes.
Generally one can work with float in the gas tank and make the gauge a lot more accurate, we even have a repair how to in the tech section by our own Alley and tell us what it's doing and we'll get to work on it.

On you fuel float...There is a clip on the end of the wire that goes from the sending unit to the float...The clip pervents the wire from slipping out of the sending unit...The chinese put the clip on to far so it don't let the float swing freely..So you need to remove the sending unit from the tank & pry the clip back away from the sending unit, just a little bit...Its a heavy wire,I guess I would compare it to a wire coat hanger....I did it to both of my 54B's & the fuel gage works great now....Bob
