So I'm starting to feel loss of power and on the freeway it's getting on the hotter side. I can't seem to find anywhere that's loose so I just ordered a whole new muffler system. Luckily I got to it yesterday for $80. Today I looked again and the people raised it to $380! Huh?? So I'm hoping that fixes the problem There is a good possibility that the muffler is breaking down internally and is causing a partial blockage. That's a great price for a muffler system.

Unless there is something wrong with your existing box dont think you need one. Wobble with the needle could mean that the cable is binding or maybe loose.

Cable? So I need to take the front off again? Blah
New muffler was delivered today and will install tomorrow.... Hope this fixes the issue
Also would this exhaust leak cause the scooter to run on the hotter side?

When mine got louder it was like a clattering knocking sound from the lower end. On mine it was the lower rod arm bearing was going out. Again mine was a knocking sound that progressively got worse.

Yeah it does sound like a knocking but it's been pretty steady as to how loud it is. How do I check that bearing?

I didnt know what it was until it went way bad and it went CLUNK and started running like crap and had NO Power. If it is that lower bearing the only way to replace it is to replace the whole crank shaft assembly. It is a complete motor rebuild. Like you I was only decent at electrical work. Well this made me pretty good at Mechanical. It was a major challenge for me since I was trying to get parts from the crappy dealer I had. So motor was tore apart in September ish. by the time I got the correct parts to do the job and put it together it was April. What helped me is Taking very DETAILED Pictures of ever single step of taking it apart. There is a detailed manual that shows exploded views of the Honda motor which is identical to ours. All in all if I had all the parts I needed at the time I probably could have taken apart and put back together in less than 3 days even not knowing what I was doing. It took me a bit longer because memory not as good almost 6 months after I took it apart. I was surprised it was Not near as hard as I thought it was going to be.

Would that really be the case when this thing only has 3000 miles on it? I mean I know these Chinese scooters are cheap, but for something that serious to go wrong already? Sheesh.... last time I buy one of these. Actively trying to sell this thing now.... Sucks because I was so excited to use this for my commute for a long time.
