Nice picture alley. Might I trouble you for a zoomed out picture of that if you can? Just so I can locate it quicker when I have a look tonight. I'm an electronics guy, not so much a mechanic. But trying to learn about all this stuff

naw ifna u dont know u dont know i knew very little about scoots 2 1/2 yrs ago i could find the plug, lol one thing tho, my plastics ( tuperware) comes off pretty quick i can now take it all off in 5 mins and i have extra wires running into the trunk, for the extra brake lights & turn signals
so i was always taking the tuperware off and looking and watching etc etc
as i understand , on some scoots its PITA so..
yea so look and see if that clamp slipped or disappeared and maybe that the prob

Heck once you take the plastic off the first 10 or so times it will become second nature. Heck the first year I had my Jonway I think I had the Plastic off the scooter more than it was on it. Now I can pretty much strip all the plastic off it in less than half an hour.

So as far as the air box goes this tube goes between the carb and air box. I modified mine and put a flex able tube in because it would not ever stay connected the ruber piece that goes in the plastic tube would keep coming out. My mod works very well. Connection at carb. Connection at air box. (bit hard to see)

So all the very important spots under the plastic are easy to get to just pull the duct tape off and remove the broken pannel . When done put pannel back on and secure it with duct tape . The pannels rattle less too . I don't know how Vespa does it but the pannels do not rattle . John

Clamp looks rusted. And feels sticky. Muffler looks in pretty bad shape so I ordered a new one. Hoping it doesn't damage anything to drive it for two more days Attachments:

So I'm starting to feel loss of power and on the freeway it's getting on the hotter side. I can't seem to find anywhere that's loose so I just ordered a whole new muffler system. Luckily I got to it yesterday for $80. Today I looked again and the people raised it to $380! Huh?? So I'm hoping that fixes the problem
