Popping on acceleration.
How do I fix it.
I am thinking since it was so cool out that the enricher might not have been fully settled. So I will wait until I get it back and it is warmer will get it a bit warmer to see if situation changes a bit. So since it is going away for awhile will test more when it gets back. Just hoping we are on the right path now.

Like Cruiser said try lowering the needle first, Get tiny washers and add one to the TOP of the needle to drop it down. Alleyoop

That 4 pack from Buggypartsnw is nice, you can choose which 4 you want. Before you did not have a choice and out of the set you probably could only use 1 or 2 the others were either to big or to small for your application. Alleyoop

No Alley on this carb if you add washers you'll be raising the needle = add more fuel. Guys it's not rich. At least I don't think so. On both of my linhais the carb did have notches and they were set from the factory at the lowest notch which was the richest setting. Yes I know this sounds odd because generally they are set lean.
I just for kicks added one washer awhile back and I hadn't really had a chance to ride enough to see how she felt but the other day I went to a little commuinity on the scooter and had to get on the interstate for 1 mile to get to the little hwy where I was going. I opened her up and it was down right scary how fast I got to on 13" wheels. Looked at my speedo and I was at about 78 MPH with throttle left! My speedo with the bigger tires is about 5 MPH off.
Todd what is the plug you're using? What is the altitude of where you live? Whatever the number os the plug the linhai runs better with one notch hotter in lots of cases too. So if you're got the NGK with the heat range of 8 go to a 7, lower number = hotter spark.
I don't know about the jet size on the carb you ordered but they are 105 on mine. Remember guys never rich from the factory?
I would look at the jet size in there now before I ordered any jets and remember Mike with BPNW sells parts primarily for the 244cc and I'm not sure the carb set up including the jets is the same? JR

WELL 100% on the right path now. I have made no adjustments since last night. Like I had said in a previous post I will not have this scooter for a few weeks as I borrowed it to a friend of the family to use to practice for his MC test. Well my dad has been helping me work on this thing for over a year every step of the way. He came down from his place with the trailer today to pick it up I had told him before he puts it on the trailer to take up north take it out for a ride. Well he did he gave me a call and was WOW I think we finally got it. He went out on the main road headed out of town he was up over 56 mph and still had throttle left. That alone is 100% improvement all previous runs full throttle got around 48 mph at full throttle.....
So after it comes back will do some carb work...... Thanks.
Still debating on getting rid of though....

Alley if it is in the little solid plastic piece like I think it is then you can't put washers on the top? But if you can remove the needle from the holding piece and it has a snap ring on it then for sure you're right put washers on the top and lower it.
But if it is indeed rich then I'm thinking down jet just a tad and allow for putting washers on to raise the needle?
Also since this is not the OEM carb the needle set up is different? He might want to look at the OEM carb and see if he can use that needle? On my linhai carbs they were the notched needles and could easily be dropped a notch or two but they came set in the full richest settings which really surprised me.

JR This is the OEM Diaphragm as far as I know. and it was not eactly the same as the one I took out. I may just look at getting a New carb and get rid of this thing I got from SCRAPPY since it is the second one that had a bad diaphragm.

Well Todd since things are looking up, you can't sell it just now. Look at all the work you did and if it runs great then you can feel real proud of yourself. Hate to see you sell it and the new owner calls and tells you what a gem you sold him.
