This week is the first I've ridden the old Tank this year. I'm strictly a warm weather rider unlike my brother. The scoot will be six years old this summer and has around 18,000 actual miles on it now. Of course last year I had to rebuild the engine due to seizing the rod to the crank. Apparently the oil pump lost it's tolerances and was not pumping enough oil. Think I'll change the oil pump about every 5000-8000 miles just to be on the safe side from now on. Taking about 30 minutes to change the oil pump is a lot easier than tearing the entire motor apart.

No doubt tankrider! I tell ya I'm not the cold weather person I used to be. 18k before she bit the dust, not bad at all for one of these it'll be shot in 2000 miles scooters!
Glad to see you riding and posting again!
