Got my dc cdi today, I notice on this one there is a rubber band with a slot to hang it on something, mine been laying under the seat, does anyone know where its suppose to hang?

(I know, a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway)

Not a dumb question at all, on mine they welded a flat piece of metal curved up a little to hang it on. On mine it's on the OUTSIDE of the frame around even where the Oil Fill plug is.
But it could be anywhere IF SOMETHING like like exists on yours.

ya allyoop was right,look around where the battery is, usally on the right side of the scoot they some times weld th at flat peice of metal on the frame just below the battery the cdi goes against it the metal peice slips up thru the rubber band some times you have to remove the seat trunk it will be off to the side under it

Speedracer, Took scoot to work, the new DC CDI seems to be working great it seems that I have even more power now (For a moment I felt like Easy Rider, Awesome!) The only thing I notice is my idle seemed low (about 1400) so I turned it up to read about 1900. besides that everything else was good. The real test will come when we have a hot day and the fan keeps kicking on but the fan did kick on when I go home and it was still working good, so hopefully the problem is solved.
