I seen one listed for 250 roketa on .motopartsmax.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.motopartsmax.com, would that be a good place to buy this item, didn't say if it was dc or ac? Attachments:

Thanks damin69, thats something to consider, I main question first of all is this DC or AC or does it really matter what you buy?

The CDI is Dc Richard. That's a nice set up that Daming listed but I'm not buying the 1 HP gain BS they advertise.
I believe the linhai and cfmoto clone do use the same cdi and coil so this should work but I would tell Kidnme that I had a linhai for sure in case it doesn't and make sure they will take it back.
I would be interested to know if it did help cold starts?

DC or AC??

I always was told to look at the small connector of the CDI. If it has 1 wire it is DC. If it has 2 wires connected to it, it as AC.
I was also told, it is wise to confirm it because China is a big place with a lot of assembler's not all doing the same thing. With a VOM, just turn the Ignition SW on and check the voltages at the small terminal. A dc unit will have 12V plus to the small connector. If it has 2 wires, check them both.
That seems contradictory to what I read here. so I am confused. I hope I do not confuse others.
If I recall correctly, Sprocket was my teacher./
