Well I want to extend a huge thank you for all of you who may have chimed in from here and there. I cant believe I made it to 25,000 miles on my little blu. But I have made the move to the big boys...Shadow 750.. only because the hill is killer on smaller motors. I especially want to thank JR and ol' alley for making this possible. You guys are the best. Showing me the way to work on my own scoot. I may be back some day, but for now I am rolling down and up on the big 750, with all the shifting and stuff. I am forever thanfull for you guys making my journey a bit more fun and acceptable.I really want to extend a great thanks to JR whose advice I took to heart above all the rest. His knowledge is tremendous and needs to be recognized for all he has done and given to this community. May all of you keep the rubber down and be safe out there. many thanx from cptk....

Sorry to see you go my friend, but hey we all have lives and sometimes have to move on. Yes the 750s are nice had one gave it to my younger son I could not handle it with my fused hip. So ride safe and be careful it is a little faster than the scoot. Alleyoop Here is the one I had.

crotch rockets are fun but..........I had one that was a year old when I got it and kept it 7 years. A very expensive toy. Between sprockets, chains and tires I spent way more than I did for the bike, 1200cc of dy-no-mite. I had it to 140 which is red line in 3rd gear quite a few times. With all the curves and lack of long straights around here the only way to get that fast is wide open and you can wear out a rear tire in a couple days doing over a 100. I wore out a brand new front in 2.5k miles, on just the left side of the tire. You can go much faster on a left turn than a right because of the radius or the road. I went back to scooters cause I want to be around for a few more years. john

The shadow is a great bike! Hope you let us know how it goes. Just read some of the comments on the POS thread, what a muppet! Gong from a 250 scoot to a busa with an attitude like that is going to end up messy.
Looking forward to hearing your experiences on the shadow, theres lots of them around here, I was toying with getting something like that used for some fun (or a dirt bike which would probably see more use).

agree mauiboy, Attitude and respect have alot to do with both kind of rides. I am sure there will be a time that I will purchase another maxi scoot. But for now it has been donated so that another can enjoy the ride and scoot like I did. There are no harsh feelings here guys by anymeans. Heck I have seen the hill kill cars (cagers ) not just the two wheel rides. I will check in from time to time. Aint riding anything on two wheels right now due to the 7 days straiaght and 12 inches of rain up here . See ya
