well i need to order a flywheel puller my idea did not work so well as it wanted to pull the bolts out of the flywheel so to 11 pole stator is on hold until i get the right tool

got the flywheel puller this last week pulled the flywheel and found that i had an 8 pole stator so i going ahead with the upgrade to 11pole stator i have a question the white wire that would hook to the autoenricherfrom the r/r is not need for the enricher can i use it for the headlights?

well i went back out to the bike i hook the black wire from the r/r to the switched side of the postive and used the white wire from the r/r to power a relay for the lights with everything hook up i am getting 14volts to the battery at idle and at speed so it looks like i have a great charging system now even with all the lights on i am get a full 14 volts so it looks like the next step is more LEDs and stereo

I think congratulations are in order!!! Took a lot of courage to do it and to do it with all the reporting you have done. I admire that a lot. And you did with very little encouragement from the bulk of us.
You deserve a lot of good riding!!!
I would love to see a summary to date. What did you learn?If you had to do it over what would you do? All the same or? How many miles do you have on it now? What kind of preformance differnence? summary of your costs would be nice too? What tools did you need other than a decent tool box and a flywheel puller?
Mainly thank you very much. I hope this thread becomes a part of our permanent library. I think there are several people here I want to thank too. For their contributions of help and ideas and encouragement. I hope they all know that.
I have just been an observer watching from the the sidelines. I just think it is awesome. I hope my next fun project is building a 250 class unit in about a year. Got to get a lot of projects finished and out of my way first.

I would do this all over again but one thing i would find a source of the LEDS taillight bulbs that did not take a month to get here

I have amber 1156 and red 1157 , I have H4 hi/lo headlights led , H7 fog led T10's red white blue amber and some odd balls . I have been looking into the strip leds .
Just as long as it was fun !!!!!!!!!

well imnts i have been riding ever chance i get all is well i am in need of a new battery the one i have is 2 years old and getting weak i am planing to get a larger battery and place it under the hump in the floor board area where the stock air filter box is and get an aftermarket filter for it just have not had the time and money to do what i want i had to buy an plder laptop with and serail port for connecting to the ecu it just got here yesterday and today it is raining oh well

Just , I was wondering , I belive the CDI with fuel injection is a dc CDI . Is that correct or is it ac and is the ECU sending the signal to fire ?

es and no the cdi that comes with the kit is DC but i am still running the org. that is AC

well i have bad news the bike is down riding to work yesterday it died on me got the bike home and started checking everthing and it looks like the ecu is dead i have power to everthing and the pump and pickup all still works so i sent an email to Matt at Ecotron and waiting to see what can be done if i cant get an new ecu i will put the old carb back on
