Why would they say that when.. Bernoulli's principle dictates and has been proven to be true. That being..the larger the diameter of a pipe or tube flowing air at the same volume...the velocity will be decreased. Therefore at 8,000 rpm..the engines vacuum velocity would be drastically decreased. Then to add a smaller orifice at the end would create turbulence and disrupt the flow..

Hunting with a knife? That sounds like something JR might try. I haven't hunted in a few years but I think we now have a spear season here in PA. LOL Jack! Hey USMCdoc - the state Game Commision denies they exist but folks have pix of cougars here. They did the same here for years...I would catch them on my deer trail cam....was told by Game Commission that pics were just feral house cats and looked bigger due to the raindrops on the cam lens....or said they were stray dogs.. FINALLY 2 years ago they released a report admitting they had released them here...but said it was ok because they were all collar tagged. Ok since when has a collar kept ANY predator from doing what they do best....stalk and kill smaller critters?.. They were native here in Michigan...the last one being reported killed in 1908 after many attacks on farm animals and small children being killed. As a Chippewa descendant I understand and respect the balance of nature as an avid hunter and fisherman myself. But adult deer can outrun a Cougar as the Cougar is good only for a short high speed sprint...whereas Deer can rules flat out for miles. So what does this mean?...they go after unweary domestic animals and anything that cannot out sprint them. After one was hit and killed by a truck..they said it was tagged and wandered here from Iowa (yeah..sure ok long @ss walk).. But keeping on topic...we love fall riding...it is beautiful...as long as you watch out for critters that wait by the road..hoping a vehicle passes soon so they can run in front of it.. ;D

No problem pressing them on/off....step father has a 2 1/2 Arbor press. Have done it for GY6 engines...just my gears are hard to find..which is odd as many have that engine..

Will try...they are 15/42 gears to replace my 13/44 secondary gears. Took me 6+ hours searching to find the sites.....hope I can find them again even though they don't ship to the U.S. They also said their Malossi gears were press fit..but the Polini sets may need machining to press in and on the shafts. Not sure why Polini would do that...not all of us have a machine shop at home..*scratches head*... If not 15/42 gears...looking for something for about 15%-18% increase. Thanks, Glenn

alleyoop...Thanks...and yes..looking for more top speed. I scoffed when folks said sliders make a diff....then I tried them. Transition seems smoother from low to top speed...no longer feel that 'shift' feeling when accelerating.. Found a few sites overseas that sell taller gear sets...but they say "We do not ship to the U.S." Know any place to get them?

Looking for Jonway Wasp secondary up gears. It is an odd CPI/Vento type 2 stroke....long case with gears on exhaust side. Trying to find 15/42 secondary gears as mine are 13/52 and revs too high above 40 mph. Anybody got a link? BKK and tuned pipe really turn on the power...but it is wasted by high revs.. Thanks, Glenn

Deer are our biggest night driving problem here in Michigan. Herds of them 15-20 crossing the road at night. We are 1.5 million over populated the past 3 years...so instead of extending the season from 15-30 days for we hunters....they imported 60 cougars to bring the herds down. Dumb move by the DNR..as many are having their goats and sheep killed. We had one deer to scooter hit last month in another county. A 200lb Buck did some serious damage to the scoot and rider. We swapped out 18w bulbs out for 35w so now we can see them way ahead of time. last week while sitting in my portable deer blind...I heard a "grrrr....wowwww" off in the distance..so I packed it in and left. So now our roads and woods are not safe?

The early Vino's were also geared very low...0-30 was a snap...after that...they just hovered at about 30. I have up geared a few for folks and it worked well. But check for restrictions FIRST as mentioned above...
