Hi Alleyoop, Sorry for my delay in responding, I've only recently got a chance to look at the scooter again. I put lighter rollers in and it is now maxing out at 50kmh. I done some research and apparently the engine I have is heavily restricted. .taffspeed.co.uk/page76.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.taffspeed.co.uk/page76.htmlNext thing I plan on doing is buying- 70cc kit, bigger main jet for carburettor, carbon fibre reed valve petals, performance air filter, clutch and gears. I'm determined to get this to go quicker! JR, unfortunately I dont have a manual for this but I do have manuals for a Yamaha X-max 250 and First generation Yamaha BW's (Zuma) if your interested?

set the air mixture screw to 2 and a half turns out and drained all of the gas from the bike and put in new fuel and the engine is running fine now thanks... new problem though, it doesnt appear that all the power is going to the back wheel, its maxing out at 40kmh, i did change the variator and the clutch springs so i think this is where the new problem is. i removed the crankcase and turned the bike on and the variator and the clutch are spinning when i rev the bike and the back wheel does spin but when i sit on it and rev i the engine revs up but the bike doesnt pull as it should. do you have any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply alleypop. I took the airbox off and squirted some starter fluid and it starts for a couple of seconds and then cuts out? I've checked the compression by taking the spark plug out and putting my hand over the port and it feels good and ive also tested the spark plug by earthing off the frame and that seems good too. Do you think its something got to do with it not getting enough fuel considering it started on the starter fluid? Thanks. p.s its a 2 stroke.

Hi, I've recently replaced my piston, cdi and exhaust with a new 50cc piston, sports cdi and technigas exhaust. Only problem is my bike wont start it sounds like it wants to start and ive tried adjusting the air screw and the fuel screw but still no joy. Does anyone know the correct setting for the air screw? as far as I know its 2 and a half turns out??? I've know idea about the fuel screw setting, well at least I think its a fuel screw! Its got a big slotted head on it? Any help would be much appreciated, I will post a picture soon. Thanks in advance.

Hi All, I've had lots of scooters since I was a kid. I havent had one for a number of years but recently purchased a Suzuki Street Magic (TR 50) which I am in the process of modifying. Look forward to chatting with you guys!
