I recently purchased a Yamaha Riva CE50S. While getting it ready to ride this spring (still winter here in Wisconsin), I found a screw sheared off on the oil pump. The only used oil pumps I can find are for the Riva CV80. Are the oil pumps on these two motors interchangable? Any information would be appreciated.

Carb is slider type (throttle cable goes into top of carb.) I will try moving the needle and respond with result. Thanks for the advice.

I need help fine tuning the set up in my 2005 Zuma. The previous owner installed a 70cc kit and a afermarket carb. I am not sure if any upgrades have been made to the transmission. The problem I am having is that moped runs "flat" between 15 mph and 25 mph. Off the line the moped pulls strong, but once I get to about 15 mph the performance flattens out until I get up around 25 mph. Once I get past 25 mph, the engine pulls strong again up past 40 mph. I need advice on where to start to eliminate this problem. Do I need to make adjustments to the carb, or do I need to change clutch springs/roller weights. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

I have a Linhai Powermax 50 with a 1E40FM 50 cc 2 stroke engine. It starts and idles fine, but when I give it gas it will start to increase the rpms, but then it wants bog down like it needs more gas. I have swapped carbs, but that made no difference. Is it possible this could be a problem with the CDI or rev limiter? The CDI is 5 wire. It has a 2 wire plug with one orange wire and one black wire. The other three wires have individual plugs on them. They are colored as follows: one black with red tracer, one white with red tracer and one black with white tracer. The rev limiter has a 2 wire plug with one black wire with red tracer and one green wire. If there is a problem with the rev limiter, is it possible to by pass it? Thanks, Wayne

Thanks for the info. The videos were great. Adjusted the valves and now the scooter runs perfect. Thanks, again.

Just purchase a Malibu Propel with a GY6 motor. It did not run when I purchased it, but I now have it running. When I start it, it have a loud "tapping" sound coming from the engine. Does this need the valves adjusted? If so, what is the proper way to set the valve clearance and what is the proper clearance measurement. Thanks in advance for your help. Wayne

New to Scooter Professor. The weather here has finally warmed up, so it's time to ride. Just purchased my first scooter which is a 2008 Propel Malibu - 50cc.
