Hi JR... Your initial explanation was just fantastic. Any way of posting that in the TECH LIBRARY?

Hey JR... I think I will stick with the 842 belt as I have done the marker trick on the variator and I am running to the top now. I think the 846 for my setup will be a tad too long.
Hey Evil...I recognize your avatar but I can't think of the name of that cartoon. Was it something like " blank and the brain" ? What is the first part or am I completly way off?

Thanks JR and Evil. I came over from Scooter Doc. It is great to see others who did the same like Alley Oop.
I forgot to add that I went to a 842 belt from a 835 and added a tinytac.

I thought I would post my tune up results. I started on this a few months ago and took my time at this and here are my results. I found that this scooter really likes 15g and 12g slider combo as it gives it good take off and really good top end. Next, I added the 115mm variator from Monstergy6 that added about 3mph to the top end. I changed out the air box for a filter sock and upjetted the carb which did not add too much to the top end but really added throttle response that might help getting out of trouble. I changed out the CDI for a racing CDI that helped as well with throttle response as well with top end. I tried a performance clutch pulley that did not work out so well so I went back to stock on that. I did change out the clutch and clutch bell to a NCY assembly that really helped to sustain speeds on hills. After all this, I manage to maintain a speed of 59mph and have hit 67mph down hill with the wind at my back. This was all verified using a Tom Tom. I know some have said that the Chinometers are usually off but mine seems to be spot on. My mileage has dropped from 78mpg to 65mpg but I can live with this. I am more comfortable having a little throttle left rather than running wot. I am 6' 3" and weigh 270lbs. I hope this helps out a new Linhai owner with a starting point for a tune up project.
