Well it's become the Sad Season for me... I lost one of my dear friends. The big girl below would have been 13 years old Feb. 2 of this coming year., pretty old for a Boxer. I'm crying my eyes out every time I remember I'll never be able to hug my best girl again. Still have my two boys, and they're visibly depressed as well. I need to remember to care for and love them both the best I can. They're with us so short a time.

Make certain to oil it with K&N oil.. the oil does the filtering.. without oil they are useless... Yes, I know... very familiar with 'em. I've had K&N's fitted to most of my bikes since the 70's. Both of my other rides wear them too.

Hammerspur, you have beautiful dogs. I was just joking... Yes, I caught your pun... no offense taken! Just sharing tales ( Tails?) and showing more pics of the 'kids' like any proud parent. They're very social and will make fast friends with any welcoming people who visit our home or are met along the trail. They bring me much joy and I thank God for them daily.

Hammerspur, I agree with you. Those guys look very ruff! lol My three best friends! We spend a lot of time out in the woods and open spaces prowling around like a pack. Good exercise for all 4 of us and plenty of opportunity for trailing scents 'n sounds, splashing in streams, etc. The obvious joy they experience is contagious... everyone goes home with a smile.

Something like this aired on local news near my haunts just a while back. A rider and his young helmeted niece riding pillion were heading home from the annual hot air balloon fest, left the road and crashed into a wooded area... passenger died, operator hurt seriously. Heard the details from locals familiar with the family involved: Apparently niece was tired from the long day out in the sun and all, nodded off on the ride home, started falling off, uncle tried to grapple her and lost control. They were only a couple miles from their destination.

When I got my welder (used) years back I told myself the first thing I was going to make with it once done cleaning it up a bit was a dedicated cart/dolly... it's still wired onto my hand truck! Good recycling of parts Luke!

That's describes me, I guess... JR, followed you over from SD, thanks for the invite! Although I've been riding cycles for over 40 years just got my 1st scooter a few months back, yet to be ridden. Tore the virtually new but neglected 390 mile, '07 E-Ton Beamer 150 down for cleaning, freshening-up, modifying, restyling, accessorizing, etc. Started stocking up on goodies 'n farkles early on for future installation, project still incomplete, let me say this about the experience thus far: Jeeziz, it couldn't be much more difficult if one had to start from scratch with raw materials! Everything must be custom fitted, "bolt-on" stuff seems a fairy tale... that's if you can even find things you might want. Even OEM bits from the various makers can be near impossible to source. I've a box full of brand new aftermarket stuff purchased from various suppliers which won't even work for my application... serious lack of detail or mistaken info provided by these vendors. Some items, though usable, are of really poor manufacturing quality. Other pieces kept and used require an awful lot of 'arm twisting' to fit and function. Mind you, I've done quite a bit of this work on MC's over the years... wrestling with parts/accy's goes with the territory but not every single time! OK, rant over... At this point just hoping to complete the project this season, there are other ones waiting for attention! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OK, rant over... Warm "Hello" to other members!
