Welcome Johnnyrock I have about the same story as yours. I rode and owned motorcycles from 1982 through 1994. Decided to go chinese Honda reflex clone in 2007 Ive been happy up till the time I crossed the leads while jumping the battery (recently). I was having fits on what to do untill I found this forum. I'm happy to say i'm on the road to recovery with the help of JR and Cruiser. Jr is the electrical guru on chinese scoots and crusier has a good working one to test out theory. I'm retired military that retired for the second time so my scoot saves us a lot of gas (money). and of course I also support our military especially wounded warrior members (mind and body). Again Welcome

JR I have pictures of the both areas but I have not yet been able to upload them through your system UNTILL NOW The jist of the matter is the 15amp fuse is housed in an inline holder that is in the ground wire from the battery to ??. The 15 Amp seems to be fine (checked with a meter) Icanot find the 20 AMP on or near the start solinoid (I have pictures of where it is supposed to be. (upload problems) Dave H.

Welcome Dave! Now lets make sure which scooter? 244cc Cf Moto clone or Linhai? Either way the 15 amp fuse you mentioned is not behind the front cowling. On the linhai it is under the battery cover and I do believe it's the same for the Moto version. Now the 244cc version does have a fuse box and the black ignition wire from the ignition does feed it through the 15 amp fuse. Both of these scooter have a 20 amp fuse located on the starter solenoid and if it's blown the the scooter is dead, nada, won't make a sound. When someone makes one of those boo boo's on jumping one the 20 amp fuse is generally the first to go. This fuse is located on the right side above the muffler area. Now here is the link to our Honda Manual site and just click on the NSS250 Reflex Service Manual and you'll get a lot of break down info because your scooter is a copy of theis famous scooter and this is one hell of a service manual. Give it time to down load as it is 400 pages! thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ncmanuals&action=display&thread=415Again Welcome to the forum and let me know exactly whats going on and we'll all go to work on her! JR Icanot find the 20 AMP on or near the start solinoid as soon as the battery in my camera is charged I will send pictures of what I have

Look in our tech section and get the Big Guy's PDI, very helpful and keeps you moving instead of down on the side of the road. JR I have looked for this PDI you speak of but I'm guessing not in the right place Help BTW I have suspended work on the ignition fuse untill I get the front cowling put back together. I hate to start another job without finishing the one started. It makes it hard to remember the steps for assembly. Dave H

JR !!! Hotel Sierra!!!!!! you guys are the mother load of info for dIY on chinese scoots HOW DID i get so lucky. My scoot is the 244cc Cf Moto clone YY250T. I will be picking your brains clean. I have so many pent up questions we may have created a monster. I am a real hands on type person that not only wants to know how but also the why. Ive been sooo frustrated for the past 4 years trying to work on something almost blind because of the lack of creditable info. I retired from the USAF in 1984 where I was a certified exotic metals welder and all around general jet aircraft mech. We had precise guidelines in the form of Tech orders to do our jobs so I'm used to following proceedures to do complicated operations. If I go into too much detail when explaining a problem and the circumstaces please tell me to GET TO THE POINT. Armed with the info you gave me tonight I am going to stop tearing down my front cowling and concentrate on stripping the body from that part of the frame you metioned Thanks lots DaveH

Alleyoop Shame on me. I'm looking with lust at your three wheeler. Ive been thinking I might want to go that route in the near future. Hows the ride? the turning, etc etc. I might sell mine to a starving NMSU student after I get it running real good. The good professor has some real good pearls of wisdom with regards to the exists of an 15 amp ignition fuse on the ignition switch circuit; 1st par graph about the YY250T schematic at the same thread. Later DaveH

Hey guys I am in the process of pulling my front cowling to find my ignition switch fuse (long story if anyone wants to hear it) my scoot is a 2007 YY250T bought from an outfit that went belly up 2 weeks after I ordered it (fall 2007). it has run like a scalded ape up until I tried to jump it in the dark with a Aux jumper and crossed up the leads. This is another story that I will tell later. I desperately need an exploded view of the front cowling if it exists. Thanks DaveH PS Lefty sent me the wire diagram for theYY250T via email and clued my to this website. I would like to get the exploded view the same way if possible
