Hello, took my Lance Duke 250 out for the first time this year! Everything is running good but I have a few problems, My light switch, running lights front and rear and markers like do not work and also my kill switch doesn't work. The brake lights work and the passing light works so I'm thinking it has to be in either the two switches or wiring or a fuse. My question is where is the fuses? What else should I check thanks

OK I always seem to break things ugh... well I went to take out my 20g rollers that were squeaking to try out the 22g sliders I got and after taking off the nut the variator it didn't seem to want to come off, luckily I had some flywheel pullers to get it off. Well it doesn't want to go back on now. I'm guessing I over tightened it using my airgun. Well its the backplate that the slides hook on, seems like the hole got smashed making it smaller. Can I bend this back someway or just hammer it on??? Or do I need to get a new plate? And where would I get one? seem I take one step forward and two back. Thanks

Yup cruiser I think your right! These things are great! I just fixed the coolant leak a hose started coming off. Haven't drove enough to test the top speed but did 60 mpg going up a slight hill. These 20g rollers make it feel like it has a stall converter love it. Also just got a helmet, wanted a full face so went with the matte black Shoei Rf-1100, love it so far.

Just got some 22g rollers. Ordered from dan at scooterpartsexpress.com, he sent roller instead of sliders by mistake but was very quick to make it right. I decided to keep the rollers and get the 22g sliders as well just in case the 20g was too light, he was nice enough to get me a discount and send out the other set for the mix up. I'll let you guys know how they do! Can't wait to get them in. Planning on driving up to eureka springs next weekend if everything goes well which should be about a 3 hr each way drive!

Well I own a mechanic shop so it was just some extra we had there probably got it on special a while back, thought it might make a hair more hp lol. I will change out the coolant tomorrow and see if there is any oil sitting on top. I am not too worried about loosing a little top end as long as it can get to 55 or 60 pretty fast, the main road I drive is hwy 59 and the speed limit is 55 so not being able to go over 60 will keep me from getting in trouble. I think the leak was just coolant because I was going too fast down a hill haha had the speedo maxed out way past 80 which was probably about 75 mph because my speedo is off. Just ordered two new 12v 35/35w Phillip bulbs from Hong Kong for $5.88 shipped for both! Hope its brighter than these 25w

Just weighed. 0.9 oz each and 5.2 total. Which is like 25.5-24.5 grams or so each. So thinking about 20 or 22 gr sliders

After a ride today bike seemed to be leaking coolant from the hose on top of the waterpump and maybe oil? Hope it isn't too bad, I just switched to 5w40 Castroil syntec synthetic everything was tight so maybe it was just coolant leaking. I'm going to change it out anyway with some fresh new coolent just in case the previous owners never did. Took the cvt apart today and change the gear oil to 75 - 90w Penns synthetic. Took the variator down and is there supposed to be black grease covering the inside sides. The rollers look pretty clean just wondering if I should leave all that junk on there or wash all of it off?

Thanks JR that is exactly what I needed to know. I will take it all apart this week and take them to the post office and see what they are now, and get some new ones ordered! Thanks, this forum has been very helpful.

Yeah I try to give it max throttle most of the time when it starts shaking it doesn't seem to help until the bike sits to cool down for a while till it will go away, once it is hot again there it goes shaking . I have saw somewhere that the cfmoto 244cc comes with 26gr factory but want to make sure it. It has a bigger roller than some of the other bikes 23x18, can someone verify this for me?

My duke 250 gets the dreaded shaking at takeoff. I already took off the cvt cover and blew everything out but it did not fix the problem. I plain on taking it all apart for a better cleaning and roughing up the pads and adding boric acid and greasing the shafts to hopefully fix the problem. While I am in there I would like to upgrade some stuff. It has the cfmoto 244cc helix copy, I wanted to upgrade to variatior with sliding rollers, and slides with more low end and wouldn't care if I lost 5 mph or so on the top end. I see that it is the 23x18 but what is the factory gr size? What do you recommend on the lower weight 2, 4, or 6 grams lighter? It goes 70mph now but when I get on a steep hill can go down to under 40 by the top at wot. Lance Duke 250 with 1950 miles, Belt looks good to me.
