JR after cleaning intermediate jet, I did get a bunch of crud out out of it, but only got small hole about twice the size of one of the airated holes on the bottom side of the jet. Now I thought there was supposed to be a crosshair with 4 quad holes. Is this right? or Is what I have workable too?...or should I get a new intermediate Jet?.......TIA

Hey Guys......Have 2008 Jonway yy250t - K F Japan / HF18JL1 stamped on carb.......Pulled Main 110 Jet and Pilot jet no number just one piece and sets counter sunk in Intermediate chamber tube. Followed Big Guy video and noticed Pilot jet clogged tried to dislodge dirt from both sides of jet with no luck, still can't blow through jet, which might explain why it wouldn't start with fuel and spark. Needle clip was set on 4th clip from top with one remaining clip slot.Label on needle reads k2.....a or q or o not sure on last character. What size Pilot Jet with Main jet should I get for replacement? Also where does Pilot Jet tube fuel release from so I can make sure the circuit is still open for fuel after cleaning with carb cleaner........TIA

Null//////sounds like adjustments made to a SS Carb on a harley.......what setting or how many turns out did you make to your plugged Fuel/Air mixture screw on the bottom side of the carb? and what are your RPMs set to at your new idle settings after these adjustments are made or do you just tune by ear and rear wheel rotation as before?..........Thinking about making similar adjustments to my 2008 Jonway 244cc......TIA

So eliminating the canister and those 3 vaccum lines would be a start Right? Since the gas tank will still breathe thru the gas cap. Also you need the three way vaccum lines from air-cleaner to pull the vaccum gas pump and still at least elininate the one line routing to the canister. Lastly, the 3-way vaccum lines on top of the cylinder these look ok cause they seem to run to the engine from the air-cleaner Right?........ Ally......Did you mod your ride at all? Seems like you are on top of this one.... I have the 2008 yy250t Jonway and the label says it is the California Model as far as Emission control goes................ Any Input?............

Have 2008 YY250T Jonway .......... Replaced vaccum and gas lines. I saw right-up on replacing single with a double output fuel pump. Question: Can I use a y-fitting combining both output from pump to one gas line or would capping off one output nozzle still give as large a gas flow rate to Carb than using both outout nozzles? Which setup would be best output?.........TIA

Thanks Alley and JR for the replys......I'm in the process of looking for a sealed float to fit thru the hole in the gas tank that I can tie onto the wire and you are right about the size of the hole it's an 1" Dia. Thanks JR for the Brake Light LEDs webpage, I think the same guy has the 1156 amber signal lights too............... Another question Guys is there anyway to clean the inside fishbowl lens that covers the brake and signal colored Lens without buying a new assembly? Mine is so dingy yellow from sitting out side so long, before I got it that you are barley able to see the red and yellow lens beneath it.........I'll test cleaning the lens to make sure it's yellowing on the inside and not the outside ...........It's Bike Week Here in Central Florida all thru next weekend with the 200 super bikes races next weekend and Motorcross . Hope the weather gets better, it's been pretty crappy the last 2 days...................TIA

I read a Previous Thread talking about Fuel Gage Floats decomposing in the gas tank........Well after pulling the Gas tank since I stripped all the body parts off the scoot .....I found the Gage Float falling apart ......it had a rubber casing with an almost Styrofoam inside that was falling apart and found the main fuel line clogged with the decomposing rubber casing. Question on a good replacement? Also saw a post on the PVC system and was wondering if I should use fuel lines instead of vacuum lines with this system? Still need to clean Carb. I had a question on size of bulbs for front running lights and directionals to LEDs?.........I saw where the headlights could be replaced with the brighter 35w xenon bulbs and I'll leave Reg Bulb in Brake light.... Also found Vacuum fuel pump with messed up diaphragm and cracked vacuum lines.......already ordered Mikuni that JR suggested in an earlier thread...........almost to the point of firing-up the engine......getting there slowly.........Hope you can point me in the right direction for the other components.........TIA

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Guys.........I was looking at the 2007 Jonway post and I saw where Jr and Cruiser agreeded to the Honda2001-2007 Reflex Manual and it's almost a exact tear down of the Jonway 2008 and use the 3 part manuals for replacing my hoses and Engine parts etc............I'm off to the parts store to buy replacement hoses on the bike this morning.............Just took a couple of looks and solved my problem in pulling all the body parts off.........Will keep ya'll posted after I replace hoses, fluid, flush the gas tank and clean the carb........

::)Hey Guys sorry I've been gone getting everything else in order starting on tearing down plastic off and doing the PDI that never got done on this bike with only 700 miles on it. It sat outside almost a year before I got it. One question though in referencing the body parts in dissassembly and reassembly what manual follows the body parts the closest? It's a Jonway June 2008 Model YY250T CF244cc engine and was looking at Galaxy Powersports LLC page and figured it to look more similar to the JCL-250A than the -250E Model. So would this follow the Honda Reflex Body parts or just standard Clone like the CF244 Manual?.........Because I figure I'll have to pull almost all the body parts off to replace the Air,Fuel and Water hoses and Flush the Gas take too...........TIA

Thanks for the welcome..........JR............I figure I'll start with the Big Guys PDI....mainly new gas and new vacuum and gas lines first, then clean the carburetor and then check all the connections and see what's left after that and a good charged up battery with a trickle charger........I'll keep you posted under the 250 scooter Chinese grouping...........

New to scoots.......Got certified @ MMI for HD...........scoots have same concepts, just a few different ways of going about things and shortcuts. Times are Hot and Tuff...........Have 2 job profiles to find a job now...... Hope it gets better soon.... forced in early retirement until the economy picks up.........Had to sell my Harleys, but got 2 scoots to fix-up that have been sitting for almost 18 months.........750 and 1k miles and not sure if PDI was done on either scoot.......so ready to jump on in and see what we can get motor in.............. 2008 Jon way YY250T & Lance Duke Touring 250. Been reading Scooter Doc and Scooter Dawg and both have been very informative from some knowledgeable chaps I'm sure if this site is anything like the others in INFO it will be a big winner for all to follow and be part of............. Time to get my hands dirty...............
