Hey all, My wife has a 2008 Lance Vintage with 2300 miles on it. The issue we are having is it is slow to get to power. It stars and runs fine but when you snap the throttle its slow to rev up. Here is what Ive done thus far,
New carb New fuel filter New Minkuni fuel pump New Vac and fuel lines Adjusted the valves Changed CDI New Coil New spark plug Took air cleaner assy off and checked for cracks and dirty filter Changed roller weights New Clutch Sea foam in gas tank
I'm totally confused at this point. Could it be bad gas? Any impute would be appreciated. Dave

thanks for the Congrats. I was blessed with a beautiful lil gran daughter.Only thing is though, you would think my wife and I was having our first. There's more baby stuff in this house then we had with both of our daughter combined lol.
I haven't driven my Blazer in over two weeks lol. Been doing a good bit of highway riding. She just keeps getting stronger every day.At this point I have no desire to mess with the roller weights,I am very pleased with the stock setup. Will do my third oil change in the morning.

Thanks Cruiser, Sorry it took so long to reply,I just became a grandpa for the first time this past week woohoo. Yes it looks like the same set up as the 257 radiator. Just about 500 miles now and running great.

Good to be back ol buddy ! been lurking from time to time. Ive not only had the 150. I even had couple E-ton beamers that I enjoyed building on. Just decided to sell all of them and get back to a two scooter house hold. Makes life much simpler.( And the wife much happier). I really don't see a whole lot of difference thus far in quality between the 2008 and the 2012. They do put the radiator on the front on the 244 cc's now instead of the rear. And the mp3 controls are on the left side so you don't have to take your hand off the throttle to adjust it. No more grommets to bolt on the wind shield, its washered screws now. And I think I will enjoy adjusting valves much more.

I worked on my buddies scooter yesterday for about eight hours, with a similar situation. He has an 02 e-ton beamer. Long story short , It ended up being his coil wire had a short in it. If he held it in a certain position she would run perfect . I ended up cutting about two inches of the coil wire off and reinstalled the cap and no more issues. Oh by the way we checked spark several times thru out the day and it had a good blue spark. Who would have thought that the wire would have been bad when you get a good spark? Maybe worth looking at in your case.

Ive got to wonder if your getting fire with starting fluid, you must have a fuel flowe issue.

I would guess fuel issues as well. One good place to start is making sure your fuel filter is clear. Also maybe take a clean cup and drain the carb bowel to see if you get any junk out of the carb. Those little carbs are very easy to take apart and clean. Its a good idea to have a small wire such as a guitar string to run thru your jets to help clear any clogs. another thing I might suggest is making sure your vacuum lines are solid and intact. Are you pre mixing or is it oil injected? Do you have a petcock on your gas tank?
