ellpee the electric pump upgrade is a brilliant idea. Hopefully you won't need to regulate it. If you do there's other ways beside the separate pressure regulator in line with the pump. There's also the method of pulsing the pump in time with the spark. Thus later method is implemented by Honda in the 86 Helix, and it doesn't have a pressure regulator at all. Unfortunately those damn pumps are not cheap, but I would expect it to be simple to have your current choice of pump work the same way. Either way, looking forward to hearing how it goes. Good luck!

The fan on mine is alarmingly loud. It sounds like a polie car siren. The first time it came on on my first test drive, I about messed my pants. I didn't have my MC endorsement yet, no tags and no insurance. Scared the he!! out of me. I did check the fan, and it's the blade design that's so loud. Without the blades it's a very quiet motor.

I have the MC-54-250B linhai clone too. I mistakenly thought the temp switch for the fan was blown. I honestly dont much faith in these gauges. However, when you are rising for any distance (20-30 min) does your temp gauge drop and raise again, or is it more of a steady thing? I ask for a reason. The thermostat may not be installed, OR it may be stuck open . Then there is a great chance I am wrong and you just have a stellar example of these scooters
