Ok well after connecting the boot cap as tight as possible, I still have no luck with a spark (* (*) and after testing the coil it's still not getting any volts. I suspected that this was the problem because this coil never looked normal. I think the coil is bad. I'll order the switch and a new coil and start back up next week when the new parts come. Is scrappy dog scooters reputable?

I think the coil is bad I'm getting nothing on the tester. No volts on the coil on either end. The stator is giving out power

I haven't replaced any coils, only the spark plug. I have a tester. I think it's a bad coil because the coil looks weird. On one end it's just a wire that touches a screw I have to twist it into. If that makes any sense. The boot cap is disconnecting from the coil wire. I dont think thats suppose to happen. I'll try testing the coil but I wasn't sure if I need to hold the break or just test it w/ the ignition on. I'll post a pic of the coil.

I know the diagram says one or two but I wasn't sure if it really made a difference in the type of scooter

Also from taking a closer look, I noticed I only have 1 green wire coming out of the CDI. Not sure if that makes a big difference.

I cut the CDI kill wire and it sounds the same. I'm getting no spark still. My CDI looks exactly like the picture you've posted.

Also when in it cranks, the lights try to come on. I see them illuminate but they only do this when I jump the solenoid.

I hear the starter but it will not turn the engine. It cranks, its not completely silent like it is when I push the start button. So what's this is what's happening. I hope I'm clear, forgive me if I'm not.
With the break pressed Switch in the ON position Ignition in the ON position Kick stand up Park break light is on (light on panel and back break light) Signals work Battery is also putting out 12.94volts Jumping the solenoid gives cranking sound but does not turn the engine
The engine just will not turn over, it sounds like it wants to but it will not turn over at all. I'm getting a crank though.

Ok so I tested the solenoid and it doesn't spin the starter but it doesn't turn over the engine.

Ok to answer your questions. Q1: yes Q2: no Q3: I'm still working on it. I'm trying to get to the starter to test it. I was trying to avoid taking any more panels off but I think I need to. I'm doing tht now. I'll reply in a second with the outcome.
