Ok. Pulled carb. Cleaned jet, as per your instructions. New battery, and it started up after a little fuss. Ran ok for a little bit, but, you have to caox it to keep it running. Starting issues, sporatically, for a day. Then no start at all. Replaced spark plug. No start. Now we are really out of ideas. Any pointers?

Hi, I have a Tao Tao 50, 49cc scooter, 4700km, just purchased new this year. I posted a question in the Chinese U forum, but thought I would also inquire here. I was side swiped on the left side Sunday before last, and had to lay the bike down. It rode off, sluggishly. It rode carefully Monday. I changed the oil and gear oil, it was due anyway. It starts drives and after 100 ft it wanes and dies. Replaced fuel filter, and cleaned carb. Found on another site that similar issues fixed with new CDI. Replaced it, still same thing. While jacked, it runs for about a minute and a half, then wanes, and dies regardless of throttle.

Tao Tao 50, 49cc scooter. Purchased this year. Currently has 4700 km. I was side swiped weekend before last. Modest impact, but had to lay the bike down. Crack in the fender, but rode off, a little sluggish. Time for a gear oil change and an oil change. Went ahead and did that. Then Tuesday I leave for work and get 100 ft and the engine looses power and eventually dies, even with gas. So we replace the fuel filter, check the lines, pull the carb and clean it. Replaced the CDI. Bike still does same thing. It runs for about 3 minutes and then wanes and dies, regardless of throttle. Please help, I am assisting my gear-headed friend and we are running out of ideas. I wan to keep the work at home. Please advise.
