I've had this feeler gauge set for five years and I use it to adjust the valves on the quads I fix . It's a bit worn down anyway so it's time to get a new one. I have just been too lazy to buy it.
And for the record: whoever came with the brilliant idea of putting the cylinder in such a weird angle on the 257cc engine needs to be shot at dawn or whacked to death with a dead posson. The exhaust valve is in one bad spot.

Ok I am getting ready to adjust the valves on my JCL with the Linhai/Yamaha motor and got all the equipment to do it. Problem is that my feeler gauge does not have the .004 and .005 gauges and the closest one I got is the .006 .
Is that ok to use or should I go get myself a new one?

Bought this scooter for $600 dollars. Mechanically the scoot runs great but it has been neglected and it needed some TLC. * Right signal light was busted and the left one was all yellow * God knows when was the last time fluids were changed * Scuffs all over it * Rear trunk is split * Fuel lines and filter were pretty bad * Several dumb decals plastered all over it. I took care of all of those problems and made several upgrades along the way. * Installed HIDs * Upgraded signal light bulbs to 1156 * Upgraded stop lights to 1157 * Replaced from corner lights with 921 LED bulbs * Restored the lusted on the head light and tail light lenses * Started to put some stripes on the front to give it a sportier look. And this is what I ended up with. It's nowhere near done, I still have a couple of things to take care of like. * Clean and paint the heat shields * Fix the fuel gauge * Adjust valves * Flush coolant. ^ New trunk Will continue to post pictures as I go, hope you all like them.

Can I put a 12bs size battery on my JCL MP250A? I'm asking because when I got the scooter it came with a 9bs size battery and I am not sure if this is the correct size.
Any help is appreciated

I'm going to start poking it today. When I removed the front plastics to install the bulbs I saw three Phillips head screws that seem to adjust the assembly. If I can make it go up just a little bit I'll be in business.

Not to jack the thread but I since we are in the headlight adjustment topic I have a question. How do you adjust the lights on the JCL MP250A. I put HIDs and the light of the low beam is too low.

Dear god that A-hole is full of it! The links come from HIS Photobucket account so there is no way in hell he deleted them.
Here is some food for thought.
If you are going to delete an album or picture from Photobucket, the website will pop-up a box asking you to confirm what you're just about to do and once it's done the links don't work on ANY WEBSITE. But if you do not confirm the action IT WILL NOT DELETE IT. No user can add files to a Photobucket account even if that account is set to public. Now he is popping stuff out of his rear end in order to save face.
Some people can't take the fact that they're wrong so they rather act like idiots in order to prove a non-existing fact.

Mine has the Linhai/Yamaha engine but I can't seem to open the floorboard to check on the system. I removed the front plastics to install some HIDs and I checked the radio, no clue how that works and I don't think I'm in the mood to chase that problem. Might as well jus get rid of it and get a better one.

I haven't checked the float on the gas tank cause I have no clue where it might be I checked the connections to the gauge cluster and they seem to work fine. The radio is one thing I can live without but I wanted to make it work cause I am a bit of a perfectionist and I wanted it to work even if I wasn't going to use it.

Bought this scooter used for a good price but it needed some TLC. Now I managed to solved pretty much all the problems it had cept for two.
Fuel gauge doesn't work
Radio doesn't work (not really important but any input is appreciated)
Is there a sensor, ground or anything that can help me solve this problem?
Any help is great appreciated.

Hello all I recently bought a JCL MP250A used and I have been looking around for some information about it and after a few minutes on the good ole Google I came across this forum. It has served as a fountain of information and I hope I can further educate myself on this little jewel.
Looking forward to talk to all of you.
