You're right and again if you call talk to Chance. Now this scooter is a copy of the Honda Reflex, and for awhile they were coming out with the cf moto clone 244cc vertical engine and then later on with the linhai. They're labeled lots of different names but that doesn't mean squat.
Now it's been awhile since I've seen the 244cc sold, don't think there are any left but there are linhai ones left.
In the pictures they both have identical mufflers and CVT covers which is a way to know the difference between the linhai and the cf moto clones but websites a lot of times use pictures that may or may not represent the actually scooter? Again if you're wanting one call and ask is this the horizontal 257cc linhai type engine or the 244cc vertical cf moto type engine?
I own one of each and they are identical to the last nut and bolt except the name tag.

Isn't the honda clone engine with only the 10" rear tire? I am pretty sure I had heard that it only came with the smaller tire in rear where the linhai had a 12 or 13. A few years ago there was quite the stir about which engine was in a given scooter. As I have heard there are advantages to both engines. The helix clones using the honda type engine are easier on valve adjustments and have a long life expectancy and used to have better parts support, but an older design. john.

The pictures are the same and they look just like my 2008 MC-54-250B which has the 244cc Honda clone in it.
Rocketa also has a MC-54B-250 that uses the Linhai Yamaha clone engine. The same looking machine is also offered with a 300cc engine but I don't have a clue whose engine style that was.
They have a toll free phone so call them and ask the salesman for specific questions before you order. I did not do that and wondered till delivered which engine I had ordered. The call may be important to you, so do it. .
