I've got a Lance Venice 150 and the kick start has gotten kind of sticky. It doesn't bounce back like it used to. I was thinking maybe there's some friction where the kickstart parts are held in place by either the crankcase or belt cover.
Does anyone have suggestions to what I can lube the kickstand parts with? Something that won't ruin the drive belt or CVT parts? Silicon spray, WD40, Neverseize, White lithium grease?
The electric start works fine, but I was thinking about it.
Thanks and Happy New Years.

If you used the kickstarter a lot it may just be a weak spring and a new one will fix the problem. Silicon Spray will work fine it sticks to whatever you spray it on. Alleyoop

Thanks. I'll try silicone spray when I do my 1000 mile service here soon.
Only time I had to use the kick start was when my battery died and that was about 50 kicks worth until I got a replacement battery.

Well then probably it is just full of black powder from the belt that is making it stick. When was the last time you cleaned out inside the CVT . After so many miles the belt really leaves a lot of fine black powder all over inside and maybe that is all it is. The way I do it is I get a Paint Brush and clean it all out with that it works good. You do not want to spray anything in there with all that fine powder in there it will turn to mud(HEHE). Alleyoop

I havent cleaned out the CVT the entire time I've owned this bike. I'm second owner and put maybe 300 miles on it.
In addition to valves, spark plug, fluids I was going to change out the drive belt and lube up the kick start. I'll add cleaning the CVT to my 1000 mile maintenance.
