try a piece of rad. hose for a import car you might find one that has an bend in it that will make it fit

well 42mm is a little larger than 1 1/2 inch , I got some 1 1/2 inch hose forced it in the carb , I got 1 1/2 inch pvc elbow and some sort of 1 1/2 inch barbed coupling . Problem solved !!!
I also found that the trap for a drain (sink) is also a workable size .
I put it all together on Wednesday , I will be going for a ride this morning . I will post later with the results of the rebuild .

well I went for a ride , it seem ok just dead like when I first got it . It needs breakin , I think I'm going to put the Keihin in it , the cheap chinese stock carb won't give me a stable idle .
